Yep =/
I wonder if anyone else thought Chakalaka's Time Gate was epic though...man I love Arnej's remix of Time Gate. Mashup'd with Chakalaka...
I hope Markus bangs that track out too.

i thought it was hella fun too! very intense... i danced my ass off.
regarding the jesus pose... alright, in a previous post about markus, i went on record defending the jesus pose. but after seeing armin, i realized that yes, the jesus pose, just like anything else, can become a little played out.
don't get me wrong, i thought the night as a whole was insanely fun. having said that, it was hard not to notice the formula armin seemed to stick with for dropping his tracks... build up, jesus pose, everybody hands-in-the-air, wait for it, more jesus pose, wait-FOR-it, BOOM big drop, crowd goes wild, and then basically repeat from there. i wish he would have had a few lesser moments of that cycle, and just kept the crowd humming without necessarily doing so much fan fare.
although, i mean the crowd was responding to it, hell i was too, but i thought to myself when it was happening... "man, i just wish that he could transition without the formulaic jesus pose, everybody hands in the air, etc. each and every time he was dropping bombs.
Here are my vids from the night! It's one video compilation split into three parts.

standing on the edge of the booth...while lost connection cranks out through the speakers...fucking epic
nice vids!
Thanks!
I had much trouble trying to post.... non the less. Hi I thought I would introduce my self. I am Sarah, I too was at this show. I have to say that since I began attending shows at 1150/ Opera since 2003 and the problems that many complained about is not new. I have been there on MANY occasions where sweaty big guys have been rubbing all up on me being wasted. I am a little girl so that really makes me uncomfortable. This year I knew that I wanted no complications so I upgraded to the VIP. I have to say WOW, it was an incredible experience. I was able to talk with Armin for a minute before his set and get him autograph. The tracks that he played were great. There was no room to even breath. He was so on fire. I loved it when he stood on top of the booth, that might have been a highlight of the evening. I have to say that getting only one track in for the encore is WEAK SAUCE... I blame this FULLY on the club. I have to say that Opera is a nice club but that is not why I go out, I go out to see the DJ's. Having a nice couch to sit on means nothing to me... I don't sit at shows. I have to say hi to Trey. I met you at Armin and I joined... so here I am. Hope ya'll are as excited for Markus Schulz as I am. Rank 1 is going to be sick.

Ok, our laws blow. I know that not everyone leaves by 3am (LOL). I just wish it was different. I wish that when Dj's like Armin come that they would forgo the opener. It really doesn't allow them the opportunity to showcase what they got. I have another question for you Devin. Why is it that we never get an Armin or a PVD on a weekend. I appreciate what liquified is doing for the Atlanta trance scene but have been thinking it for a while and wanted to figure out what the real issue was.. which I guess is money. I got no problems with Opera just wish that ya'll would throw more shows at the North Atlanta Trade Center or some where that would allow more people to enter the club with the room to be comfortable. Just a thought.
the time before last tiesto played ona friday, PVD has played on weekend nights as well at places like the Tabernacle. Lots of stuff in motion right now, please be patient.

Wasn't Armin in March of 2007 on a Friday at WETBar as well?
We've gotten a handful of shows on Fridays actually...the numerous Thursday shows kind of overshadow them though.

Really wasn't thinking... I got it. Sorry I moved and then came back so the I really haven't been paying attention. I am sure that in 07 Armin came on a thursday cuz I had a test the next day. Tiesto and PVD really not positive about but really pretty sure that it was a thursday as well. I guess in a perfect Atlanta they would end when they want too. The only dj's that for sure I remember on the weekend were Sasha, Junkie XL and Josh Gabriel.
