well, its the first ableton set since hawtin's de9 i actually liked. it hit home to me especially when he plays the berlin calling soundtrack tracks moob and sasha funke ones, because ive played those out and they didnt work so well because they have something missing from them to make them work, or i cant squeeze enough out of them to make them work. but loved how joris takes just the beginning of moob and loops it and uses that vibe/consistent tone for the backdrop, and doesnt play the rest of it because its not necessary. its like cutting the fat off the steak and throwing that steak flavor into the recipe mixed with other meats and vegetables.
