Queen Club have it certainly but doesn't want to share of course
I'm agree with you about this first hour. It was a nice start except for the mashup with Axwell i think...
Wtf, the tunes you wanna hear from a trance artist , are always the same non stoping uplifting and banging tunes on 135 + bpm? The house/prog tunes played in this specific set makes it really amazing , I bet there was some real trance after the 1st hour for sure. Something for all tastes if you know what I mean.

DJ Ash, it is a little more complicated than Trance lovers and House lovers.
I'm trance lover, not house lover. I can't hear an house DJ in the mix because i don't like it. Progressive tunes mixed by a Trance DJ and Progressive tunes mixed by an House DJ, this is not the same. Listen David Guetta, Fedde Le Grand, or other House DJs in the mix and you'll understand what i want to say. How to mix, how to pitch, choice of tracks etc is different than a Trance DJ who's playing Progressive.
I'm trance lover but i need a varied set. Knowing that Tiesto played progressivly progressive to tech trance, uplifting in this live @ Queen Club... If I was there, I would have been thrilled. Just because it isn't just 3 hours with the same sound.
A build which starts progressive, minimalist and finishes uplifting, tech trance can be logical. This is a matter of talent. Tiesto knows it and it isn't the only DJ.

It's stupid something for all tastes, if i do not like house, for me 1 (for example) i have to sitting somewhere, next hour dance and third hour walk home as he spun hardstyle (for all tastes). Stupid logic. House party for people who likes house, trance for trance lovers, hardcore for gabbers. If DJ wants to please all tastes that DJ is a WHORE, who will pay more, that style he will play. |
this is a hell of a good set considering whose it is..

I haven't heard from him trance ever. From the beginning of 90ies, he played the same techno, as many other DJs at that time, because those days electronic music didn't have so many styles, and trance doesn't exist at all. I have many Laurent sets including hios radioshow Ravemaxxx from 1991st. His style is techhouse, electro, techno. Carl Cox changed his style during career from Oldschool (hardhouse) to hardcore (gabber) to techno. Darkraver played and made in 90ies oldschool (hardhouse) & hardcode (gabber) now he played on classic parties the same style and on jump parties he plays Jumpstyle. So you now where what to expect from him. The main thing not to messing up different styles which don't fit to each other!. But when i came to Paul van Dyk party, i really don't know if he will play good bangin trance set, or he will play house/electro tracks. So i have to think better to visit such party, because there is a big chance, that he won't play trance set. I want to clear all up, i want to go on trance party, if there plays John O'Callaghan, Sean Tyas or Aly & Fila i can be sure i will get that pure trance. By visiting PVD (from his words to separate electronic music on styles is stupid) is a lottery, what he will play. I don't think it's a good idea. I don't have anything about other styles of electronic music, i like them all, even DNB only harder (Technical Itch e.t.c.), not that much as trance. So i have to makedifferent mood if i go not on trance party.
All agree with you mate
any ID on that La Roux remix? i reckon its a mashup with the Skream mix rather than a remix by itself

Yes ,JOC ,Aly & Fila and Sean Tyas are very creative in their sets . Nothing than only their own tracks or tracks that apply to their sound ,which is creative as well.
