The AL East is starting to look like the 1980s again.

So for those that care..

The battle was finally settled this weekend...

Rogers now has TSN2 and will be airing the Jays/Boston Series on Channel 1!

Apparently it'll be free for 3 months for all digital subscribers, and non digital will be able to view it for 3 months (I think on channel 56 or 58?) but after that you'll only be able to get it on the digital ultimate package or something...

Anyway, I'm glad that we finally got TSN2, and it only took a series between Jays & Red Sox.

I think if the Jays were in last place, this would have never happened. THANK YOU BLUE JAYS!!

^^^^

Awesome news!!

Game is in HD on channel 501 for Rogers!

Amazing to see them pull this off in HD with such short notice

Posted by ChemEnhanced on May-21-2009 12:42:

it looks like the jays are getting a shot of reality.

Posted by daves on May-21-2009 13:53:

yep cold hard reality... not handling Boston that well at all right now.

good thing they swept the previous series while Boston lost against "lesser" teams such that they have enough of a buffer to still be at the top even if Boston sweeps it tonight

but hopefully some lessons are learned here for Cito to take away from this

I think jays pitching is starting to get exposed. Many of the pitchers were unknowns and the advantage always goes to the pitcher when this is the case. Teams now have film on these pitchers and have had time to study the same.

With Boston and New York playing so well I think it will only be a matter of time until the jays are looking up from 3rd in the division with dreams of what once was.

The Jays hit so many goddamned flyball outs that series. Fucking brutal!

They just sent down Cecil, Ray and Snider for Janssen, Romero and Inglett. Can't wait to see how Janssen has improved from his time away. I have high aspirations of a double sweep of Atlanta and Baltimore. That'll put the Jays right back on track to where they were.

how quickly things change!

The Yankees are looking mighty impressive as of late.

I think what you are seeing now is more likely what you will be seeing for the rest of the year...a team that cannot produce runs on a regular basis and some questionable starting pitching.

the Yankees? Since Arod came back, they're 14-4. Texeira is starting to hit a ton. The starting pitching has been noticeably better, but the bullpen is still an issue. The late hitters are weak as well, but Posada is on track to be back.

I will say with certainty that the Yankees will finish ahead of the Jays this year.

I was talking about the Jays...I think the Yanks will win the division and boston will get the wild card....unless the jays can turn things around I don't really see any competition for the Yanks and the Sox

how in the hell did they loose today. I was on my way home and it was 8-3 in the 6th. The maple leafs can't even blow a lead like that.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on May-27-2009 22:59:

the title of this thread should be changed to jays.....WTF
