Tamil community protesters say they will not stop blocking the Gardiner Expressway until they meet with a representative from Stephen Harper's office and get a promise for a clear course of action to stop the war in Sri Lanka. |
Now I'm gonna have to wake up at 5 to see if this is still going on...
If it is....It's going to be a brutal drive to work in the morning...
I do not agree with the group, what they are doing is wrong on so many levels. I'm watching this on TV and i'm baffled... but guys easy up on the blatant hate ... shit...

The cops aren't going to use force when there's children in attendance. This is going to last for days. The work week commute is going to be a cluster fuck and a half

it has nothing to do with race. we're just hating a group of people othing more.
I really believe we should form our own protest and block th unemployment line or make food stamps not valid for the week

wow. just watched the interview with bill blair, if I could get anything from that interview it would be this, he is pissed.
it almost seemes that he was talking twice as fast and stopped short of saying once he had the number of police to do it, they are going to move in.
I expect some Tamils to get royally fucked up tonight.

| Originally posted by E2EK1EL I can't generalize their culture, because other's I've meet are not like this ... but majority of youths tend to act like this here, b/c they think it's just like home ... in Sri Lanka |

| Originally posted by DigiNut We are talking about the Tamil Tigers, a well-known terrorist group. I don't think that any of the things said in this thread have even scratched the surface of just how rotten to the core this group really is. But there is an immediate problem here that is more important than the politics. As someone else said, this has all the markings of a Caledonia 2.0. This is a chance for Toronto and Ontario to prove that they have a police force that isn't completely impotent |

| Originally posted by Zmzis I am sure our police force is capable of handling something like this but it makes it so much harder when these losers bring youth and children to use as leverage. |
I love the shield of young girls. Fucking cowards.

"I was stuck in traffic because of this protest. While it initially annoyed me, I was able to consider that, if someone is so desperate as to throw themselves on a highway to wake us fatcat westerners out of our gas guzzling, consumer good-induced comas, maybe the 15 minutes extra I spend in my car, considering the luxuries and privileges I have, are worth it. Just food for thought for those of you who can't bear to be inconvenienced from your meaningless routines to hear the echoed cries of people suffering around the world."
