If bees were extinct, a very large percentage of our food supply wouldn't be far behind...

HAH.

what a bunch of rubbish. Species are found and go extinct constantly. Ecosystems always manage to balance out. Do we need 10 million different food sources ? lol

Think about a cow and what it eats. Grass. everyday all day grass.

The reason why we constantly complain about extinction of species is because we are so specific that we cannot adapt to change. We would be prime candidates for extinction.

And to those who said humans are the worst species have a ponder about this. Do you think any other animal out there really cares about the survival of other animals unless its for a selfish reason? Evolution has geared animals towards the best method of survival for their species, mutualism is also a trait benefiting the species in the long run.

A giant centipede would not give a fuck about you.

There are not enough cows on the planet to feed everyone.

We greatly depend on bees to polinate a very large percentage of our fruit and vegetable food-sources (estimated at around one third of our food supply). Food-sources that are often used to feed animals, like cows, when there isn't enough grass for them to eat.

right. So what. whats your point?

What is a cow?

its a mammal, an ungulate, there are tons of them and the meat tastes similar. Deer, moose, antilope, lamb, horse, donkey, camel. ETC.
So again, you're only concerned with humans. and we need our plater of resources of food. Then you say. "ohh the ecosystem will collapse because we won't have enough grass to feed the cows that we mass produce.

Boo hoo, i can't have 1 cow a year instead we will have half. I'm sure we can deal with it. Our economy might take a bit of a hit, but if this would ensue the extinction of our species, we deserve it.

When did anyone say that it would preclude the extinction of our species?

All I ever stated is that a large percentage of the food supply would take a hit. A lot of that food is food that I, and probably you, love to eat.

Did your boyfriend forget to hug you today or something? Learn to read, right after you're done counting to 10.

I don't get what you're arguing? Karim is saying that bees dying out wouldn't affect humans very much because we can eat cows instead?

"Id like to share a revelation that Ive had, during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you arent actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with its surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply, and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You are a plague, and we... are the cure."

All bugs, in general. Armadillo's and possums too.

This.

And jellyfish. Well, they don't have to die, just staying the feck away from the good beaches where people like to swim would suffice.

^ Truth

A couple of the fight scenes in Reloaded were really good though, even if the movie was complete shite. I would have liked to see more Neo vs Ghost hand-to-hand, but the fight scenes were done well.
