But, if TAO can sway me I'd consider it, so far only Digweed really draws me there... Oh yeah, they have a premium VIP bar too, not that cheap ass vodka I usually find at massives that makes me regret living the next day. |

I seem to recall them having a mix of Belvedere and Bartons (yes, in those great unbreakable plastic jugs)! I drank the Belvedere until it ran out...
Or maybe that was Monster Massive, I dunno really, it all runs together after the 4th drink or so. But, it's the next day that I remember all too well when cheap vodka is poured.
At the LovEvolution afterparty, they only had one kind of vodka at all the bars (regular and VIP)...some Russian brand that I had never heard of before. There was a cardboard ring around the top of the bottle that said "Svedka 84, aewheiunf 92, wefiqizq 95" (names of the last two were different, no way I could pronounce or spell them). It turned out to be good, but that other brand they had at EDC was rotgut (and I have several friends who agree with me on that!)
Edit: After a bit of research, the vodka at LovEvolution was Sobieski, which has a rating of "95 points: Exceptional."
The vodka from EDC was this:

I believe it's called Russian Standard, avoid at all costs!
At a premium open bar, I would support my Dutch friends and go for Ketel One

The only DJ on the list that I would travel 4 hours driving from Vegas for is Markus. However, given the fact that its LA and its going to be busy and expensive, I dont know if I want to spend the money and time on it for only a 2 hour set (assuming its that long...)
If they had multiple rooms like you guys were mentioning before and Markus was in there for a long set thatd be sick!!!
But if its gunna be seeing a short Markus set in a packed arena full of David Guetta lovers, then i dunno. i need more Trance on that list... its not even about big names, just trance!!!
However I will do everything i can to support Markus of course... I am just too spoiled after seeing him at Ruby Skye for a 4.5 hour set in the front the whole time rocking out actually WITH him to compare it to my assumptions of this NYE event. I hope i am wrong tho so im gunna follow this thread and hope it turns out nicely!!
The lineup isn't that bad, it's just that there are too many people if they're all playing in the arena. The only one I really don't like in the lineup is Guetta. Kleinenberg, Dubfire and Digweed can all fit in together and play similar styles (relatively speaking), but throwing Guetta in between them will fuck things up. In 07 we had Sasha & Digweed then Ferry and the night was perfect. If they put Guetta on early and then have Markus close out maybe it's not so bad...... I guess it all depends on the time slots...... Any predictions?
I think guetta will be on for count down with markus closing?
In that case I can literally go to tao after a&b.
fricking guetta. oh well they still gonna announce more djs but I'm going for sure - just for Markus even if I've seen him 3 times this year. Just bought my VIP tixs.

A&B is doing both LA (@ Giant's NYE Event) and SF (at Ten15) on NYE.
Doing the midnight countown in LA according to Giant. Guessing a private jet for them to get upto SF.

If I can take my shirt off at Giant while pumping my fist I'm there
My thoughts:
Guetta - I only enjoyed him at EDC because the noobs in the group were having a great time. Not the style I want at TAO, but from a promoter standpoint I'm sure he will help to fill the house.
Diggers - ugh no more "bink bonk with a couple whistles tossed in" house. I haven't heard much from him recently that I've liked. Get me back to the Northern Exposure days sigh
Kleinenberg - Caught him in NYC and was hooked.
Schulz - this will be heresy for many in this forum, but am I the only one who thinks he is boring? I've seen him 6 times and haven't been blown out of the water like many have said. Maybe because he wasn't the main act? I'd be very happy to eat my words so long as he gives me trance not progressive.
I would love to see Jaytech or someone from Anjunadeep throw down. I don't mind the house so long as it doesn't put me to sleep.
markus tends to play harder and faster at 18+ or all ages events than 21+ clube events.
The younger the crowd, the harder they tend to like it.
so i just heard a punk daft rumor...
yea right.. lol
alot of parties seem boring this year... i think a house party will be the way to go, just bring in local dj's to play and get the permissions from your neighbors.. i think thats what ill be doing this year
on the tao site its shows guetta, digweed and markus in the main room. dubfire, sander and reza in the house. hmm i hope they add another trance headliner.
According to Kaskade's twitter, he's switching from Giant to Together as One.
I really wonder who's doing the countdown this year.
simply put...the tao line up outweighs the giant line up.
yeah, tao crowd is younger, but i think the giant nye parties have been on the decline past couple years. so i think the tao party will be most fun and bang for your buck.
