I vote Nelly. |
I see! That makes sense.
In that case - I'm in approval for anythging that encourages the crossover and promotion of both forums - seems to me that production and spinning are becoming more and more related anyway.
Let's do it.

I think we definitely need separate mods for the DJ Booth and Production forums. Lots of people who only frequent one forum or the other, and discussion topics that span both DJing and Production are few and far between.

Eric, Drail & Stephen should do it. They're the most active, the most open to ideas and incredibly courteous. I think derail has the knowledge & wherewithal to answer the tough questions, Eric has the experience and Stephen has the drive to make it work. Together they're like our own lil backstreet boys.
Whoever said kimset & RobyRox... that would be genius, i'd frequent the forum a lot more for the sheer Jerry Springerness of it all

| Originally posted by Eric J That would be a DJ Booth question., since they are asking how to record a DJ set. They are not asking "how do I sidechain in Ableton Live", which would be an example of a Production Studio question. Right, which is also a DJ Booth question. It doesn't belong in the Production Forum, since they are asking about recording a DJ set. Just because one uses a DAW to record a DJ set does not automatically make it relevant to the Production Studio forum. I do not see how they overlap. |

And some times i think lots of yall guys in the Production forum can help out some djs, that just don't know how to do things like pick a sound card! Also what if a dj wants to make a Tag for his mix show or set! To me i would asked Production forum for help rather then some dj who knows nothing about Protools! (i would use ProTools for that task!) And as for the MOd i Vote DJ RANN! |

Eric J just showed several reasons why he is a perfect choice for one of the mod selections.
Imo.

It doesn't really matter who is it as long as, he or she does a good job at cleaning and organizing the forum.
We need people who want to work for the community!
