Rule number one for voting in a new mod should be someone who has actively contributed over recent months.

If we don't get such a person sho's to say they'll give it the dedication it needs.

Hell, nothing ever kicks off here anyway - we just need somone to weed out the crappy spam that plagues us.

I vote Nelly.

Half these posters are from the Production forums, as this thread is a part of both. If you go to the production or dj section, it is there..lol

Also...

For DJ Booth I vote Nelly

or me

I see! That makes sense.

In that case - I'm in approval for anythging that encourages the crossover and promotion of both forums - seems to me that production and spinning are becoming more and more related anyway.

Let's do it.

no.

"spinning" has a much higher likelihood of retards. i'm sorry, but it must be said. every girl's boyfriend is a dj these days and i don't want that shit in the production forum.

This.

But not that we don't get our fair share of retards as well .

I think we definitely need separate mods for the DJ Booth and Production forums. Lots of people who only frequent one forum or the other, and discussion topics that span both DJing and Production are few and far between.

I don't think so! I am on the dj forum alot and i all ways see the same thing asked How do i record a dj set on my PC or Mac and what program and sound card should i use! and lots of djs also use Ableton Live for mixing and as a sampler and a DAW to Record the set and make edits!

That would be a DJ Booth question., since they are asking how to record a DJ set. They are not asking "how do I sidechain in Ableton Live", which would be an example of a Production Studio question.

Right, which is also a DJ Booth question. It doesn't belong in the Production Forum, since they are asking about recording a DJ set. Just because one uses a DAW to record a DJ set does not automatically make it relevant to the Production Studio forum.

I do not see how they overlap.

I bet stevie wonder can!

What is that supposed to mean?

Explain to me exactly how you feel using Ableton Live to make a DJ set or record as DJ set is any way relevant to a Production Studio discussion?

Posted by Zombie0729 on Oct-09-2009 18:33:

Eric, Drail & Stephen should do it. They're the most active, the most open to ideas and incredibly courteous. I think derail has the knowledge & wherewithal to answer the tough questions, Eric has the experience and Stephen has the drive to make it work. Together they're like our own lil backstreet boys.

Whoever said kimset & RobyRox... that would be genius, i'd frequent the forum a lot more for the sheer Jerry Springerness of it all

Look i don't want to waste my time with you i was just giving my 2 c!
To me how to record any thing on a DAW should be in the Production forum!
And some times i think lots of yall guys in the Production forum can help out some djs, that just don't know how to do things like pick a sound card!
Also what if a dj wants to make a Tag for his mix show or set!
To me i would asked Production forum for help rather then some dj who knows nothing about Protools! (i would use ProTools for that task!)

And as for the MOd i Vote DJ RANN!

It's cool man, I understand where you are coming from. I don't agree, but I understand.

Eric J just showed several reasons why he is a perfect choice for one of the mod selections.

Imo.

I could vomit out all the usual 'what I would do as a mod' routine, but what's the point .

I'm pretty sure that's what Swamper has in mind. Two new mods chosen, one for Music Producers Promotion/Production Studio, and one for DJ Promotion/DJ Booth.

Yeah, that sounds logical. However, I think that if recent history taught us something is that it's good to have a backup mod in each forum.

All our mods are disappearing! It's a conspiracy!

It doesn't really matter who is it as long as, he or she does a good job at cleaning and organizing the forum.

We need people who want to work for the community!
