Good list.

Kind of found out about those guys recently and they actually brought back my interest in EDM, after I got bored with most of the stuff that's out there.

You say that like your selections are unique. Every mnml hipster fag has been blowing their load over those names this year.

p.s. I saw Matthew Dear play a couple of months ago and surprisingly, he was terrible. Oxia played before him and did a much better job.

Look dude, it's people's opinions, they are as varied as they come on this forum and you're basically being a fucking dickhead. Only about 4-5 other people shared the same in this thread as far as I can tell.

Grow up.

And we're talking about productions here not DJ sets. I've seen Matt dear a few times and on half of those occasions he bored me and played mediocre and the other half were amazing. I don't think anyone is calling him Jesus.

And you say 'mnml hipster fag' as if those names actually produce 'mnml hipster fag music'

I listen to way too much EDM to come up with a list I'd be even close to happy with.

damn u people are too dramatic for me...

i feel like i'm reading a script for a soap opera every time i log on!

Also, can't believe I forgot to mention Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonts. He keeps one-uppping himself.

You knob. I enjoy those people's productions too. When I said "Every mnml hipster fag", I meant everyone who is into techno, not just the people on this board. That is, these names are hugely popular at the moment and woscar shouldn't be surprised that other people are naming them too.

I know the difference between producing and DJing - my second remark was just an aside.

Fuck dude, I thought you were smarter than that. Didn't the stupid smiley give it away? Or my first post saying that everyone is either a trance cracker or a mnml fag?

Yeah I get it, you're trying to be funny, but really, this shit is getting old.

It would be nice if we could talk about music on this forum without this constant stream of bullshit from so many.

And apart from maybe Jamie Jones & Matthew Dear I don't think those names are as popular is you make it seem. At least in the states many of those guys are still relative unknowns with not much draw. Ben Klock has never even played in LA as far as I know.

And didn't the stupid smiley gave mine away too?

Calm the fuck down man, you don't want people starting threads about you being nasty and shit. Oh wait...

They do, I'd say they're currently the leaders of the hipster fag movement. Prove me wrong.

I'm neither a trance cracker nor a minimal hipster-fag....so I nominate someone who doesn't really fit these categories...I would say Mango. He has had some amazing remixes and productions this past year, too many to name.

You live an unfortunate existence.

Matthew Dear, as far as my experience goes, blows dick as a DJ. Pity, such a fucking fantastic producer.

Really? He had an OUTSTANDING 2008, but I've been left wanting by him this year. Don't get me wrong, one of my favourite producers, but was expecting him to have a much better 2009. Having said that, I still haven't heard this Pussy Shepherd track that everyone's banging on about, so he could yet prove me wrong.

honourable mention for label of the year to LTJ Bukems' good looking records, there have been some very nice releases there in 2009.
