thanks to sweetcandy for the guestlist!! i appreciate it...
so like usual i got caught up along the way to rain and didn't make it until way late... missed the openers, missed the TA meetup at the bar, but for sure had a fucking blast. last time i saw markus was 2006 in detroit, i was diggin' his set big time
i wish i woulda seem some TA pics or something beforehand because now in retrospect i recognize pretty much all of you!
one of these nights i will formally join the LVTA massive that's a promise!
anyone thinking of going to BT?
Thank you Michelle! Amazing night wouldnt have happened if you did not connect us with that list. And thanks to Sol!
Since we lost our babysitter for this weekend and our plane tickets are non-refundable we want to try to go up to SF for Markus, but plane tickets are $200+ each right now. Even on other airlines, it's no cheaper than that. When flying Friday-Sunday that weekend.
Bing/Farecast says prices will go down $50-$80 each way in the next week and hopefully it does so we can pay as little difference as possible.
BTW, those of you discussing set times, I thinkt he shortest set Markus has played in the last 6-7 years in SF is 3 hours. And that was once. And it was after he pretty much came in from a flight from Europe and played a couple hours later at Mighty. Other than that, it's been pretty much all 4+ hour sets. Maybe a little less than four hours once.
(Him playing at Slide before Armin play at Ruby doesn't count. And the other time he played with Armin doesn't count, though Is till think he played 3+ hours just that night.)
Bleh
To start out, the opening DJ's were aweful. Not saying they couldn't DJ but for what the night was it was not pleasant to hear useless electro/house music for a #8 ranked Trance producer.
Markus had a great set as always. Could do less Lentos - Forget About Us (Barnes & Heatcliff Remix) and Wippenberg - Pong but still was great.
Drank way much as always...ended up having a big tab lol.

What an insane weekend. Dinner at NOVE at the Palms was amazing. Check it out if you get a chance. After arriving at Rain, I won't comment on Manufactured Superstars other than to say after an hour we left the club and waited for Markus to come on. Markus was of course amazing from start to finish. I was VERY drunk so no tracklist from me lol. Great crowd and so much energy in there. Just a little short. Love it when he plays 3+ hours. Get a little bit more of a journey.
After Rain, we headed to 3AM in Prive at Planet Hollywood and continued the party. Beautiful club and the who ever the DJs were they played a perfect afterhours set. Loved it!!!
From there (its daylight now), we got a ride to the Velvet Lion (I think) for the after after party. Think its a strip club the rest of the time. Very dark and fun and appropriate for the time of day. Do you REALLY want to be able to see anyone at this point lol Pretty good music too.
Stumbled out of there at 10 or 11am having no idea where we were. Walked out to the street and our hotel was like half a block away. Yes! Slept the rest of Sunday away. So much for the Super Bowl lol.
Thank you Rain for continuing to book great trance and a huge thank you to Sol for everything!!!
