Anyhow, there was no lasers for pvd on new years at roseland either.

Were you there on Sat too? Yeah man, I'm still around.

Very very very nice guy... Never formally met him til Friday, and I realized that he really truly LOVES the music. He didn't have one glass of champagne backstage; he was literally listening to the sets, and talking with people on the ASOT chat... He and the ASOT/Armada crew reminded me of me and my friends if we were in a similar place, just shooting the shit, and listening to the music. He's a classy and nice guy on and off the microphone...

It's fun, but there's a big downside unfortunately (between me and you, the TA family)... I can't really go to any events anymore and have fun, always got someone taking pictures and wanting to talk production or pitch me their business plan. I don't know how the bigger guys do it (maybe they don't, which is why we rarely see them around after or before their gigs in the general admission area, which is a shame)...

Luckily, I was hanging in the side bar to the left of the stage where all the friendly Trance Addict people were and my friends were hanging out. It was a completely different crowd, and in no way do I mind hanging out with all of you fine TA people, I enjoy it. Other people just have no qualms or second-thoughts about literally ripping me away from my friends or my girlfriends to talk for 10, sometimes 15 minutes. It comes with the territory I guess!! Took me no less than 25 minutes to walk to the exit from the side-bar on Saturday haha...

I do love seeing the Love regulars and Trance Addicts though, you're all very nice and usually somewhat coherent, and keep me grounded. I like the type of person that can tell me that my set at Love wasn't as good as last time, or chill out and have a drank!! I'm not the type of person that enjoys "fame", I guess...

I 1000% feel you on this. There are a LOT of people out there who love the fame, but I would never be one of them. We love our space, our friends, our privacy and our free time. It would be tough to think that I had to be "professional" everytime a fan approached, because it seems impossible to want to be engaging and interested ALL of the time.

I am sure you will adjust to your "fame" and have some amazing new adventures ahead of you. And, if you ever need, I am sure that us TA peeps wont mind building a barricade of people and booze around you if you need a quick escape LOLOL

I would say that a plus side is all the hot women, but you already have a nice girl with big boobs

oh lord, thank you so much, Z. It turns out the tracklist I was using had a lot of mistaken IDs. ughhhhhhhh it's Bart Claessen - Hartseer, and it's a fantaaastic track. <3

@ Marcello, and everyone replying: I'm starting to feel this really keenly. I'm not going to prattle on about it because your star is flying incredibly high & I know we all support you sincerely here and aren't members of the flock-of-tools trying to capitalize on it. But man, when people who wouldn't give me the time of day beforehand are now all "oh heeeeey, ASOT 2010!" to me...then I can only imagine how ridiculous it's getting for you. Just no.

btw, thanks for the interview shout-out. Hugs. <3

lol, guys! I wish I had known about the upstairs bathroom-- I would've appreciated not having to fish through people to find my way! have pity for me, I'm still a relative newbie, only not-quite-2-years...

That's why you gotta hide out in the middle of the d-floor, lol. I've seen you so many times on that side bar and out in clubs, kinda weird watching you get "famous".

Congrats Eco. I'm severely disappointed I missed your set Friday night, but I'm glad you rocked the house. Keep up the good work bro.

Glad to hear everyone had a great time at the 2nd night. I'm happy to say I at least got to hang out a little bit at the first night.

And I can definitely agree on the sound system. Shame nobody said anything after the first night.

Yeh I was there Friday and Saturday. A little worn out from EDM by Saturday. WMC then Armin was in Charlotte on Monday then NYC Friday and Saturday. Wow, i just really cant believe you were there though. I still have to meet the guy who gave me his treasured collection of flyers. Perhaps I will make it up to EZ

Not gunna lie bro, I felt like I was in a blackout the entire interview, was exhausted from the day and running on autopilot, nervous before my set haha... I woulda answered a bunch of those questions differently if asked right now..

Proper meet up for sure @ EZ!! Would have loved to meet him too. FLTA fo lyf

Speaking of... I can't believe how hard it was for me to attempt to listen to Rank 1. He was my best friends favorite dj. He flew to Toronto and LA just to see Rank 1 and I spoke to Piet before ASOT and he remembered Raul very well.

It must have been 30 seconds into his set and I just started crying. I almost felt guilty for leaving but there was no way I could have physically/emotionally stayed there for that set. I had to go off to the side bar (where the music was LOW) during that set.

wow what an unreal weekend...i read thru the reviews and happened to agree with a lot of ppls assessments so im just going to list what i LOVED and didnt like:

FRI DAY 1:
(took a good amt of pics )

ECO (we made it by 10:15pm, thank GODDD i didnt miss out, best set of the NIGHT!!! omg you DESERVE the big room and that audience who was totally LOVING YOU BACK!!!! <3)

RANK1 (only cuz ive loved Rank1 for soo long, have always loved their style...and i <3 AIRWAVE (thats OUR song))

ARMIN (he wasn't bad so thats an improvement there, i stopped going to his shows regularly after March 2007)

MENNO -- man i dunno what happened but i got SOO bored halfway through his set, so unexpected since i normally LOOOOOVE Menno, it really killed the night for me and i couldnt recover from it...then Roger Shah came on and i think my enthusiasm was DONE. Drew and I left at 3am cuz we were crazy tired from a 6+ traffic fueled delay on the MD/Baltimore-NJ turnpike (we had gone to DC for a visit on WED). Basically we had gotten back at 730pm on Friday, got changed etc. and was OUT the door again at 9pm. what the hell. LMAO.

great seeing everyone that I did on day 1 Z, LOVE ur pics!!! <3

SAT DAY 2:
(barely took ANY pics...cuz i was just DANCING MY F*CKIN ASS OFF till close!!! i dont think ive danced almost nonstop in a club for soo long)

BREAKFAST (totally MISSED out on his set, boooo) but ill say this, Friday was the first time ive seen him PARTYYY...and oh man, Casey is SOOOO freakin hilarious!!! bwhahaha

LANGE -- omg was soo afraid we were going to MISS his set on Sat, i would have freakin kicked myself for THAT!!!!...but thankfully got there just as he started. HOLY FUCKING SHIET LOVEDD every track he threw down, he blew the place up!!! i totally agree with Kels, he NEEDS to freakin come to NYC...from this set on, i KNEW this night was going to be AMAZING!!

GIUSEPPE -- he never fails. SET was AWESOME!!! oh man...Out of the Blue 2010 just sent shivers down my spine

ARMIN -- I initially braced myself for an ok set, no expectations...except that Armin was even BETTER than the night BEFORE!! whoa...and damns when i heard CONTROL FREAK it was like a throwback to Tobacco Warehouse for me in some way...i didnt stop dancing from then till the end of his set. banger after banger, fkin amazing.

JOC -- wow i dont think i ever heard a BETTER set from him

FILO and PERI -- banging altho i admit i wasnt really paying that much attention to them cuz we chose to go upstairs. hearing them play ANTHEM was somewhat nostalgic (it reminded me of when PVD first premiered that song in November years back) but i still hate that song like HELL. ]

ALEX MORPH: a LOT of vocals, more than what I had been expecting. Dancey enough to keep me going. Not realy impressed all that much. still danced for the pure joy of it so i guess that was enough

Mentions: Andrew Kelly Jon Kyle great dancing with you guys. Hanging out with you guys at one pt on sat night was craaazy fun and i loved it, reminded me of the old days. these days i am just soo busy it was nice to just let go and have fuuun!!!

also happy bday to Amy/Glittergirl, this was her bday wknd! also great seeing Janette/skytrancegirl and Natalie/tatgirl whom all came up from DC

man ill def be checking for links of both nights of ASOT to download...just for the memories, hehe!
