Oh, and it will all be over in June
Come next September, he's only going to be teaching. No second job next year.

This is totally not a deal breaker in the slightest. I have no idea how my original post suggested that I wanted to end things

I just wanted ideas on how to lift the poor dude's spirits until he reaches the end of the tunnel.

as others have already mentioned - the basic male needs: food, fuck, sleep.

It's okay, Ania. Suicide is not an easy decision for anyone.

#OverreactingToThings

What do you mean this isn't Twitter?

If the root of the problem is he works too much and is at a high stress job, neither of which is he willing to change then how do you think things are going to resolve themselves?

edit: i see your post about it being short term work situation.

Have you mentioned this to him? Have you mentioned that you are a bit worried about your future with him if he devotes himself to his career to a fault? There's nothing wrong with naked honesty in this case, when it is sincere.

As Jenny already excellently said, nobody knows just what they want, especially not until they arrive there. Guys especially want to know that their work is fulfilling to them, so he is exerting that in the best way that he can, but so far as you're concerned to him, he would probably like to know that you're there for him at any time as well. We all have ways of taking this for granted at times, and flipping out on him is obviously the last thing you should do, but if you're in the cave awaiting him, I don't think there is terribly much more you can do to please him. If that is truly not what you want, then by all means, listen to IGK. But I don't think that's what you want, so just be patient with him. You can gauge him exponentially better than any of us can, so be honest with yourself - are your sacrifices, to which we must all make at times, seen in him as well? Does he give any ground to you in return? Will he?

I don't think that's what she's worried about..

She's just worried about his mental health and how she can make the person she loves happy while he's so stressed out at the moment...

Why the hell is everyone overreacting to this?

You seem to have a good handle on it Ania and clearly you love him, so just keep making that obvious (and keep going with the whole sex thing) and I'm sure it will all be swell.

Good luck with it all, by the way

We discussed this earlier. It may not be what she is saying, but of course she is worried about it. Why wouldn't she be? If his inability to emotionally divorce himself from his job becomes a trend, that leaves little room for somebody else in his life. It's exactly what IGK's point is, he is just going about it like a damned retard.

You can't make someone happy. They either are or they are not. It be like if I asked you "How do I make someone love me?"

Posted by Ania_xox on May-15-2010 03:29:

If this was a very serious issue, I would have taken it only to my family and his family.
Not to the COR.

Believe you me.

This thread is now about eating pussy from behind

Posted by Renzo on May-15-2010 03:34:

Is that right? Well, you can't come swinging your huge, oversized clit around this place and just changing the subject of your threads.

This isn't 'Nam. There are rules.

Leaving work at work isn't exactly easy in many cases. If there's one thing I've found over the past 12 months it's that. Thank God I wasn't in a relationship during that period.

agreed....I try hard not to bring my work home with me but sometimes you just can't help it. There are days where I wish I had a job that I could just forget about unit the next day.

Been there, done that, ruined one relationship, let a few friendships go to fallow and wont make that mistake again. Those where hard times and it was a real struggle to keep the house, travel for work and with only one of us working, I guess I learned the 2nd time around but things are a little easier now.
Rotten way to learn though
