I'm OK with Armin being #1 on these polls. I know us die hards think he's too cheesy and mainstream but I think he does a good job balancing mainstream and "underground". I've never not had fun at one of his parties and ASOT 450 was great. He does a lot for the trance scene and hasn't sold out like Tiesto. Much rather see him up there than a Guetta/Tiesto/Deadmau5, even though probably 50 Germans deserve it more.

He didn't have to spam, he already has the support of the NY + Tri-state area Trance scene without a doubt. We go see him DJ live on a regular basis and he delivers. I voted for him.

If this list was based solely on mixing techniques Zabiela and Prezioso would be near the top. I love for instance Beyer's sound n productions, but was disappointed by his live set.

And nice to see Jelo on the list, that guy can scream louder than the music.

Saw jody live this year and last. He wasn't that great this year, last year he was amazing.

I think It'd be interesting to release some TA 250 stats, like a top 250 list as voted on by members with at least 1 post, 10 posts, 50 posts in the last year.

It was just an idea that I think would be interesting. I'm more interested in seeing people's votes who contribute to the forum with discussion year round, talking about the music and events they enjoy rather than seeing votes of people who just join the forum to vote and skew the results. Of course, I don't want to get rid of the poll in it's current form, just add some other permutations of the poll to spur discussion. Other ways could be sorted by join date, weighted post count, etc.

I gave up on forums ... everyone just bitches for the sake of bitching, no one has anything nice to say about artists or music, unless it's the "in" thing to be saying nice things about :-(
