thats exactly what i thought when i stepped foot in there. but they stole the led wall from scarlets (although scarlets is way better). i think by far the worst thing are the stupid carousel horses. so fucking out of place.

but whatever. my back is gonna be facing that shit so who cares. markus is gonna turn my brain into mush so i dont think anything else is gonna matter.

I've listened to the Tiesto and PVD Space sets from '02 to '04 countless times, they sounded like a crazy good time! I really wanted to go this year to try reliving those years but the line-up isn't strong enough for "my" liking...plus the music back then was insanely good.

Saw Markus' GDJB World Tour in Chicago this past weekend & WOW. Amazing set from start to finish.. some new ID tracks thrown in that were pretty bonkers. The set was as good if not better than Space in December..

All & all had an amazing time.. Til my flight back on Sunday where I developed a fever and am now on my death bed

Correction, Best set i've heard from Markus. What a show

I just saw that both Matt Darey and George Acosta will be at Space the next night. Damn, I'm conflicted now... Already purchased PVD tix @ Mansion. Had I known this beforehand, I would've bought tix for this show. Acosta is sick and I've always wanted to see Matt Darey live. Have all his old albums but just like everyone else, his style has progressed and no longer plays melodic trance like he used to. Plus, I think Space is the proper venue. Not sure about Mansion... What do you guys think?

Space's mainroom has changed quite a bit since last WMC.. not for the better but it still sounds good.

I personally think PvD's show is gonna be something you shouldn't miss. Mansion really has come a long way in terms of bouncer/door issues and the visuals in Mansion now are on par if not better than Space. All they need to do is upgrade the sound a little & that place is good to go.

I was a big Acosta follower back in the day and I'm still a fan but I think your decision is just gonna depend on what type of sound you want to hear. Acosta has gotten a lot more progressive in the last year or two.. He doesn't bang it out like he did years ago. PvD bangs it out so it's just a matter of preference.

I haven't seen Darey live so I can't comment on him tho

they changed enough to make it worse. the layout is still the same but it has a real strip club feel to it now. theres stripper poles around. the floor is red now. theres elevated vip next to the dj booth on both sides. theres new lights around the dj booth as well as behind the bars. theres RETARDED carousel horses between the mainroom and the front room. and theres a scrolling led wall in that front room.

i know the boxes on the left and right side are still there but i cant remember if the boxes in the center back are still there or if that was replaced by vip. anyone know?

I see they still have the most important elements in any proper club: lasers, strobes, and liquid nitrogen air blasts!!!! As long as they didn't get rid of that I'm happy

I haven't heard any of Acosta's stuff lately so might need to check out his website before making the decision. But I'm kind of curious to see how Mansion has improved. Before, the dance floor was located right in the middle where VIP is so you'd have to dance around the dance floor which is completely retarded. Let's hope they changed that.

Matt Darey is pretty good live, just saw him less than a month ago---really nice guy too. He interacts very well with the crowd, which I like. I haven't seen PVD in a few years, so it's a no brainer where I'll be.
