BTW, hate to burst your bubble but it wasn't that original - irreversible used similar concept and if you can manage the first 10 minutes of it, rest is a very fucking good movie. Also, the whole "SMBU" perspective is cool but sometimes annoying - like I sat there wanting to raise my head so I could see more but obviously, it's a trick.
it's the same guy as irreversible and all his movies are a bit similar in some aspects ex. pornographic

Just a bit shocking I guess - the ending. Even though you can kinda guess what's gonna happen.

Fuked in the sense of the story between the brother and sister. It fuking sucks asssssssssssssss what happens to them

you're right that it sticks with you for days. Come to think of it, Irreversible was a walk in the park, comparing to this. The sheer ammount of "fucked up" stuffed per square millimeter of film in this movie far exceeds anything I've seen thus far.

the ending was certainly graphic but I still was like:

I did't find it so effective. Apart from the talking fox it was mostly some brutality which is surely somewhat fucked up, but lacks creativity. Compare to Being John Malkovich, which I raked equally, but which is full with batshit crazy ideas.
In the end it comes down to the fact that you can't possibly compare crushed testicles with door into Malkovich's head on any thinkable scale. But while Antichrist mostly sucks BJM is, of course, pure briliancy.

Agreed. As I said, there are a lot of movies that can go in there with one .

Edit: Let me post this awesome scene from Southland Tales once again:

"Scientists are saying the future is going to be far more futuristic than they originally predicted!"
People can say whatever they want about The Rock, but in this movie he's brilliant.

an honorable mention in this category is the introduction to the movie 'Mother(Madeo)'. When i first saw the intro, i was thinking to my head that the movie was going to be a mind tripping film.

not really much of a f*cked up, but more of a haunting touch with the scenery and the music.

You're letting your personal opinions influence what you think of as being a "fucked up movie". A graphic depiction of Charlotte Gainsbourg taking a block of wood to Willem Dafoe's erect, followed by him ejaculating blood deserves more than on your scale. I totally disagree with you on the merits of Antichrist, I'm a big fan in fact, but that's neither here nor there. What's more important here is how "fucked up" of a movie it was. The prologue was so totally ethereal and what followed was undoubtedly a "very fucked up movie". When that fox intoned "chaos reigns" he meant it for the rest of the film.

Being John Malkovich was a Mind Screw, and a very well done one at that. But fucked up? I suppose the ending was...

Antichrist was more visceral, more terrifying, and ultimately more fucked up.

im still going to say Cannibal Holocaust is the most fucked up probably of all the ones mentioned here.

Cannibal Holocaust achieved notability because its graphic violence aroused controversy. After its premiere in Italy, it was seized by a local magistrate, and Deodato was arrested on obscenity charges. He was charged with making a snuff film, due to rumors that some actors were killed on camera. Although Deodato was later cleared, the film was banned in Italy, the UK, Australia, and several other countries due to its graphic depiction of violence, sexual violence, and the slaughter of six animals. Some nations have since revoked the ban, but the film is still barred in several countries. The critic David Carter suggests the film is a commentary about civilized society.[2][3]

Check it out, and compare it to the others mentioned here. Maybe I'm wrong but i think the killing of a large turtle over 10 minues is pretty sick, even though the actors stated it was eaten...not to mention what happens to the crew is sick.

Here are a few more that I think deserve a mention.

This is a doco. more so than a movie.

And these two messed up comedies from Peter Jackson.

'Dead Or Alive' was actually released under the title 'Braindead' everywhere bar the US.

Posted by Sushipunk on Feb-07-2011 03:22:

Braindead is so good

Let's also not forget Meet the Feebles.

Thanks to shitty UK censorship laws, the UK cut has over 5 minutes of footage removed so I've never got round to seeing it.

Posted by Halcyon+On+On on Feb-10-2011 15:16:

So go download an uncut version?

//It's really not worth watching though, if you ask me. I didn't find that the extreme violence in the film elevated to anything whatsoever, save for the hackneyed 'violence in entertainment' schtick - as though it's some sort of commentary by merely existing. It's basically just flimsy footage of naked brown people dissecting various humans and animals. It's 1-dimensional shock value.

i think its interesting to see how civilized cultures lose all their values in hostile enviorments and what they are truly capable of. Also the year this movie was filmed in had lots of shock value for that era and broke many rules, which is why its banned in over 57 countries. Not alot of films have that power in my opinion. Its worth watching simply because the chances of another movie like this one are extremely low.

Just saw the movie Braindead yesterday from 1992. What. The fuck.
