I surely hope they won't shut it down. Sine they got shut down for Dada life last year Avalon has been doing enforcing crowd control pretty well and closing off the main dance floor early.

I just saw that Henry Saiz is playing at Vanguard this night. Obviously I'm going to Markus, but damn... why'd that have to be on the same night? :/

why would it be shut down? last show sold out as well, albeit not 2 weeks before.

closing off the dance floor really helps keep the place under control IMO.

12 days left until the beat down!

BTW show is now sold out. finally markus' is getting the true recognition he deserves..all while staying true for the most part to his dark and dirty roots

Dada Life has one of the strongest pulls for a DJ in LA, that in addition to the lack of dance floor control at the time, not shocked that they shut the event down.

I wouldnt doubt it if the door price is $60-70. Last time I think both sold out SvD and Markus shows there was $60. geezes...that's a lot of money to pay for a club cover.

Tickets started at $15, $60 is worth it for the people who can't buy presales.

I just listened to Markus's sunrise set from Ibiza a couple of weeks ago (It was on GDJBC), and WOW. Awesome, awesome set. I'm kinda hoping he goes into that territory for the last hour or two of his Avalon set.

he might ... he's probably not going to play the really old school stuff, but last time he was at avalon he closed with some really good tunes, like his afterhours mix of 'without you near' and his coldharbour mix of 'touch me' ... maybe we'll get lucky and hear stuff like breathing, fly to colors, blueberry, etc.

since he was hear not too long ago, i think we'll heard a different approach towards the end.

what approach? we'll see but i doubt he'll play the same closing songs but who knows.

at the door will be 35 and 45 per ticket till they sell out..


so don't worry won't be astronomical prices

I think some of the bartenders leave after 2, but the bars stay open for non-alcoholic drinks until they can start serving alcohol again at 6.

You can still buy non-alcoholic drinks from 2-4 of course! Bars don't completely "close"

i got tix but a couple friends who were iffy now can come. What time should they show up to get tickets?

I would suggest 9-9:30

so when they do last call and collect cups from everybody, what stops them from doing so say at 3 am? or by 3am everything has been collected already and they assume it's non-alcoholic?

they use different cups for after 2am so that's how they know if your drink has alcohol or not.
