UK Bass or Bass Music is legit. Never really understood the meaning of it though. Feels like all the 2-step, dubstep, UK funky & future garage geners got out of controll and Bass just covers the whole array of sounds here.

Regarding DnB, System-J and Ian. Got any good artist album recommendations from 2011? Feel I've fallen a bit behind here as of late.
legendary stev thread right here. at the worst, a top 3 thread of all-time in Music Discussion. someone move it to the Classic old threads / Inactive Forums section when it's all said and done.
Ha!!! Well, I had to decide what genres are worth my time collecting and playing out. I've had actual weekly paying dj gigs in the past, like actual real money. I know, it was great. But since my son was born I've been on hiatus. He's two now, and things have worked out i can play out again. So now the goal is to get some paying weekly gig, without lowering my standards too far.
lmfao/pitbull/etc = way too low. i will not go that low. i dont need money that bad
im not going to do dubstep because its too samey and everyone and their mom is djing it and its too much PBR dive bar vibe to it.
so that leaves slomo disco house or trouse.
if it were up to me id probably play slomo disco house, despite all the dumb things i criticized about it, but you need the hipster crowd, which is spread too thin out among other weeklies in my area.
so im going to do the trouse/prog thing thats everywhere. its safe, it pays, and its the lowest ill go.
I'm hoping more in this direction:
house & techno will always be cool.
I got that Conforce release on a clear vinyl. Been playing it a lot.
Word, everything is fire in that record.

Just wanted to introduce y'all to SEAPUNK

kind of like witch house for the beach. like mermaid house.
When it comes to music, I'm seriously thinking that it's the end of history. I don't think we'll hear anything new, but that's not exactly a bad thing.

| Originally posted by Dj Pluviose Nah bro many girls will not suck dick for DnB, as a matter of fact, girls will complain if all they are hearing is brostep or bro n bass. Why you think its called Brostep and BroNBass? cuz only guys (BREHZ) listen to it. girls like more emotional songs. vocal trance preferably for bitches. dont get me wrong though I respect DnB and Dubstep. |
hahaha trust me most of the hot bitches ive talked to will say they get tired of listening to brostep dnb over and over and over and over and over and over and over throughout the night.
vocal trance is pretty gay but it does bring the emotional side out of them if they got their boyfriends to cuddle with them during the emotional parts of the song.
the people i hang out with were norcal party goers. they are "clubbers," but the top 40 hip hop type of party goers. not the people like us. most people in San Jose are pretty much mainstream
but fuck all of that shit, give me an epic Trance set featuring the styles of 1997-2002 and I'm sold.
