okay, presonnally, i have never been to a live show, but i think for me being able to id the track would make it more memorabe and better, because u would be able to say "yeah he played blah". and whats better, staying @ home to listen to it or seeing it live...

Nothing against Dumonde because I love "memory" and "never look back", both great tunes, and do u hear me flaming them? NO, I don't like them cuz its not my style, but I don't say they suck, cuz other people like them, so they wont suck in other peoples eyes....

And this is where most of u guys fail in, they have one favorite style and they are disgusted by everything that's not their taste....blahblahblah, if U act like this (and MANY people here on the forum) u prove to other people who are open for every kind of music that ur a n00b in music.
You know why there are a lot of people who dislike progressive?
I know, I told it on another thread, Its because they are easy listeners...They have no idea of really GOOD music that brings you somewhere (I also know that dumonde playing in a club brings people to flip out, me too if im there, but thats because its easy music, simple beats that are really easy to get onto people, thats why cheesy tracks do good on commercial charts --> easy listening, the first time they hear it the are in love with it, its cheese, but people like it, because their minds dont look further for intelligent music, it's a nice melody, it gets onto them and the track is a HIT, thats the way it goes...I've been in this stage too, but there will come a time u maybe understand me)
The deeper meaning of music, there's where REAL artists succeed in.

i do not say "tiesto sucks" infact i dont use the word suck coz its yank, but i didnt amke this thread did i. i am always there to back up people on the truth. i do not say he is shit coz i dont like him (even tho i dont) his mixing is poor and his poor productions are just screened from you by there techy "coolness" in the end they are to techy stuff what flip and fill is to trance!

The difference between Tiesto and Armin or Paul is that Tiesto has changed a lot in 3 years time. Paul is still a bit shy like he was 5 years ago.

Tiesto in my opinion is more an entertainer than a DJ.

Music should come first, then the entertainment will follow!!!

i can understand people may like tiesto for what he plays, but a pioneer to trance he is not. he has pioneers that tech trance he has been caning the past nine months. people like ferry, oakey and pvd are all trance pioneers much more than tiesto. hell, even peopel still think he is an uplifting trance dj, to which i laugh. but i dont want to get an argument with you TS over this, just if you look at what the three dj's i mentioned have done for the different segmants of trance you will see. tiesot has just emerged to overwhelming popularity of late, but suddenly starts to play a different style, and people who used to like tiesto back when he played proper trance, are very dissapointed in him! for example, if dumonde started playing techno sets, i think i would ask swamper to change my username! i just hate it when people change their style, and now, he gets lazy with productions because he is already famous enuf and making anough money from all his other new fans.

He has made me, and i know for sure some of my friends, tranceaddicts. His set @ energy 2000 got me into trance. Go listen to that whole set and tell me he sucks.....because u wont!

But for real, theres some str8 up haters in here. Seems like the general opinion is that tiesto was top when he was playni his old uplifting trance tunes. Remember the ol dance dept and dutch dimesion sets? Comon, anyone who says that didnt help move trance along is a tool. I can for one say that he helped influence the way i listen and spin music now. I wish he'd still spin the same stuff, but tiesto dosent spin music according to what I (or any Ta's) like. Hes gonna (hopefully) spin whatever he wants and whatever he thinks the croud will like. U hate on him for spinnin the same stuff? How many people are at every one of his parties, especially within a 6 month period? U say his recent productions suck? I for one like lethal industry and REALLY like obsession. Everyone has thier own opinion and feel free to voice it. Just cuz he dosent spin what YOU like dosent mean he sucks. Obviously people enjoy his shit, i do, the people who see him do. And for reference ive seen tiesto back in 00 in orlando and it was magikal! Got to hear urban trian like one of the first times it was played. He balled out, no mixing errors at all. Saw him at ultra, and he fuckin rode out again! So 2 out of 2 times ive seen him, hes balled. Anyone complainin about his ultra set? that was only 6 months ago!

The music
People are used to his uplifting play which was a breaktrough back in the days, just like pvd etc...did.
And now he spins progressive (10-15%) and people are hating them out of the blue....Why you think?
Because they hate progressive, right, I guess u agree with me here.

aye, but with some people like armin for example, just spin trance with a touch or progressive to the tracks. let me give you the best example. tiesto @ nec. i loved that set, i thought tiesto was going to rekindle what he was before. but since then he has not done a set like it! i wonder how can one man go from playing such an amazing set (which everyone went made too btw) to playing the stuff he does now! that is what in eventuality, annoys me so much! it showed he can still be as good as he used to be today, but he has never done anything like it since...

Exactly, if he can put on a set like that then obviously he dosent suck. Someone that sucks couldnt perform such a amazing set. Now if Amit would of posted in this thread that....

i totally agree....the stuff he has been playing lately is not that good. but u can't judge him just on his latest stuff....u have to judge him as a whole....as in his whole career.
