no, I never said that it was bad for society. my point of view is clearly one of indifference. and also, being happy about the fact that gay people have earned their rights is a separate thing all together. I'm also happy that black people and women have more rights. same thing. I don't think anybody should be repressed.

I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. I don't think my position is so extreme that it bothers you, and if it does, well I don't know what to say because I'm not the type who would ever advocate negative behavior towards gay people.

I'm just with the camp that believes plus goes with minus, plus doesn't go with another plus. like magnets or whatever the fuck you want to compare it to.

Lastly, I still do not believe, and will probably never be convinced that anybody is born gay. Nobody is born anything. Aside from the influence of genetics and others prenatal factors, I think that people are basically blank slates when they are born, and immediately begin to be influenced and shaped by their environment into the kind of person that they are.

Look at the end of the day, I really really don't think I'd see myself supporting any move that would limit gay rights. I'm not quite sure how to structure what it is I wanna say. But I think you're looking at it from a different perspective. The thing is society doesn't say its okay. They don't say its not okay. What science says is that human beings do not reproduce that way and if humans don't produce that way then its just unnatural which naturally means its not "right". Society doesn't say it, it just is.

I guess actually one way I can look at the whole thing is that it is actually good in that it limits population growth in a somewhat small and limited way.

Well I have a set of gay uncles. I do find your views on the matter to be somewhat offensive, but you're certainly entitled to them.

But I can get emotional sometimes over issues where I think certain views are just completely irrational. It maddens me, I guess.
