I prefer dogs over cats every time. I took my friend's cats because he was going to take them to the pound. One wouldn't shut the fuck up. It would wake me up by hitting me in the face and licking my hand until he got bored and bit it instead. It pissed everywhere too. On the rug, on my bed, on me. Had it checked out, nothing wrong with him, just an asshole cat. I had no choice but to start letting it outside, and it must have been eaten by a coyote or something, because it disappeared one night. The other cat isn't an asshole, it's just really fat and constantly whines for food. Mostly because my dog pushes him outa the way and eats it as soon as I turn around after feeding him.

♥ my dog.

Shelties are the best city dogs and they train themselves. It's like having a border collie that destroys less stuff if you don't take it for walks.

Same cat...

It really is all in the lighting:

Cats are for people who don't require unconditional love...

Dogs are great, love them to bits, but you can't leave 'em with a couple of bowls of food and water and book off for a day or two. We aren't allowed them in our apartment, and I wouldn't want to keep one in a small place anyway.

If we were in the country?

These big bwoys are awesome - whip-smart and you'll never want for a duvet in the winter.

This is the truth. I used to take care of a Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix. He was smart and loyal but quite aggressive toward strangers.

The owner of the house where I did my first ayahuasca ceremony had a year-old male, with all the personality of an errant teenager. He'd taken to getting people's attention by goosing them - walking up behind them, sticking his nose between their legs and then jerking his head upward.

I woke up a 6 in the a.m. to the hoover-like sounds of a big, black schnoz snuffling in my face. Once he'd determined I was o.k., he proceeded to jump up on the couch, blanketing me with approximately 110 lbs of white, furry dog body. It was mid-February, so I had no complaints about this whatsoever.

Typical Pyrenees goofball antics:

Lol, cats always looks so faggy and stupid when having to defend themselves.

Posted by TranceArmstrong on Dec-30-2011 10:34:

Neither, cats make my eyes itchy and dogs smell and drool. I enjoy both immensely, especially small dogs, just in other people's houses.

I love mah dog cause she's my running buddy. 10 years old and runs 5+ miles a day with me!

I love our cats cuz they drunks.

Already figured that out.

I like both.

I like both, but if I had to get just one, it'd be a dog.

You can take dogs pretty much anywhere (unless you are flying, which I don't trust pets on) over night and not worry about having to have someone come over to feed them.

Also dogs dont tend to jump up on any piece of kitchen ware and try and lick something (well most dogs).
