woaaa I'm now able to do some intresting stuff with Premiere
like crossefading audio from scene to scene, applying visual effects and speeding a video sequence
now I have to learn how to scroll text on the video... fucking complex shit
and the real question here... DVD or DivX(on cd) ?

ahlamalek, your project CD is what is keeping me going, i just can't wait for the final product. For me DVD or DivX is fine. But so anyone, or at least most people can see it, maybe DivX is better. This looks to be a very very good quality production from Malek.
AIght take care guys.
Mpeg-4 based DivX is more than enough for such footage, I deem...
Plus, I think I can even host (for a week) a sub-700 MB file for others (non-montrealers) to dl...
when he says dvd my guess he's reffering to vcd or svcd. wich will play on some dvd's. but i rather have it as divx since you could fit more video on a cd
and not waste any from the camera :P
no I was talking about the real DVD thingy
people could watch it on tv with a dvd console or on a computer
I got the text thingy working too
Very nice ahlamalek, Ive been trying to learn Premiere, but I have to say that so far I'm pretty cluess with it, and the help or online tutoring doesnt seem to be doing much. Granted I haven't put that time into it, but I can't even cut videos yet. Oh well, in the winter they'll be more time to sit down and actually figure it out!
what I was doing was capturing the whole movie at once and then trying to split and inserting sfx... I was never able to split it (this sounds stupid). What I did instead and I think thats the proper way to do it, is to capture the movie scene by scene( different file for every scene) and the inserting sfx between them...
the tutorials are fine but you have to follow every step la lettre. Don't jump right away to the middle of it.
