the version of without your near that he's been playing for as long as i can remember is the afterhours mix, so it's definitely more suitable for the latter parts of the night.

to make your twitter not private, log on at twitter.com

click the gear icon next to the search box, and uncheck the box that says 'protect my tweets'.

i'm glad you're going to see markus, i think you will really be impressed by his progressive build up, some parts of peak time might not be your cup of tea but he will definitely have the energy on 11/10. and the rabbit hole part, ahh, my absolute favorite. i'm purposely going to not record much in the beginning of the set to record all of the rabbit hole portion, some of his edits are straight jungle n dirty!!

^^^^ what is a "rabbit hole"? Sounds like something you need to be on drugs to understand or enjoy lol

That's the best part of Markus's extended sets IMO because he plays a lot tracks you don't typically hear all of the time. I don't know if you have been following him lately, but the past couple of years he's expanded the styles of music he plays. So much so that a lot of his older fans (myself included) are not really into his newer productions. He still has the ear for his old sound but with shorter sets and festivals, you are probably only going to hear the more commercial sounding stuff from his latest Scream album and most of the anthem type songs Khomha played at Coldharbour night. Markus really loves Khomha's productions.

With the extended set, Markus can really show his range of music. He has enough time to start out with the slower, more progressive stuff in the beginning of the night and then later play all of the other "rabbit hole" tracks because he got the usual hits and big room anthems out of the way from 12-4ish.

Hopefully he'll play Without You Near but like others have said, it will probably be the unreleased Afterhours Mix instead of the G&D one I'm guessing you are talking about. I haven't heard him play that since he played for Spundae at Circus.

you just posted 4 absolute bombs that destroy it during markus sets. will be my 18th time seeing him since last march. Came to the avalon set in august So excited to come back, coming in from boston with my cousin and a friend from dallas.

so lata what do you guys think the cab situation will be like at the end of this craziness? i am flying in saturday and not sure if i want to risk driving in your scary traffic, but at the same time i don't want to wait outside for hours waiting for a cab.

Not sure about NY day but usually there is a line of cabs outside.

Finding cabs to venues for NYE is an absolute nightmare, but finding one, oh say at 9am going back shouldn't be so bad.

Looks like my Markus ticket will go to waste. It's will-call and I'm still in the hospital after passing out last night with stomach cramps, starting to feel better.. If there's any way to transfer a will-call ticket online, let me know, I'd sell it for cost which I think was $65 + svc chg.
