After hitting up trouse gig after trouse gig for the past couple months, JOC's set was extremely refreshing. He only played 2 hours, but those 2 hours were like going through a journey. Regardless of genre, you know you're listening to a great set when you just get lost in the music. The flow and mixing were great and the track selection superb, so my head was definitely out of this world.

Shogun played a fun set too. Some trouse here and there, but the crowd and my friends enjoyed it. I felt so bad for Bryan Kearney when the technical problems popped up an hour into his set. After that little mishap, the crowd kind of thinned out. I guess they thought he was finished. Either way, I would love to see Kearney during peak hours someday.

Ok so I woke up Saturday with a cold and I was thinking no freaking way am I getting sick now the show of the week is finally here! I've been longing for this event all week. There was no way i was going to miss this show. So i popped a couple of DayQuils before heading to Space. And boy was I glad I didn't miss this show. Menno De Jong came on just as we were walking in and he tore it up. I didn't really know what to expect from him so I was pleasantly surprised. Very good energy. MORPH came on next and felt like energy dropped a bit with his hard trance...I like hard trance but still prefer +140bpm. I enjoyed it nevertheless. JOC freakin' ripped the place! His set was high energy throughout. I could not stop dancing...even in my sickened condition. I was very impressed! I was dancing behind the middle bar for majority of the night since it provided not only good view of DJ and stage but also great view of entire club. Plus dance floor was too crowded for me to cut up the rug which means everyone would bump into me. Annoying! And dance floor was also super hot compared to bar area. Shogun came on and dance floor wasn't as packed now so we migrated. We only stayed for like half his set sadly since everyone was tired by now and wish to leave. He did drop some cheese but his set was pretty hard with big build ups. I enjoyed it. Too bad I didn't get to experience Bryan Kearney's set. I'd like to see him for sure in the near future. Space hasn't really change much. They did add a couple of more screens on each side of the dj booth. But still no laser lights which I think is essential for any trance event.

I went to the wrong fucking party. This sounds badass. Pure Trance was such a joke.

Why was it a joke? No one was there?

UCF doesn't like uplifting trance. Only when John 00 stepped up did he have fun. I had a blast at Pure Trance and I'm sure I would have had just as much fun at Space but Solarstone and John 00 hardly ever set foot in Miami so the choice was easy for me and actually I'll be heading to Boston in two weeks and Fleming will be playing a 5 hour set and underground club called Rise. Gonna be nuts.
