I'm addicted to Blue Lo-Carb Monsters.
help me
I used to be hooked on those too. I'm courting sugar free Red Bull for a while right now tho.
Sometimes I'll chug a green Monster an hour before I hit the gym to get AMPED. And then the entire rest of the day/night I'm irritable as fuck. Lol.
You mean sometimes you're not irritable?
Red bull is fantastic, just not every year.
Jenny, I like you and think you add shit to the forum and that lovely jazz, but you must realize that you do come across as 'holier-than-thou' in about 70% of your posts here. I'm sure its unintentional, but that doesn't mean it's not true.
I go back and forth on the old caffeine wagon, myself. Last term, I was having about 10-15 shots of espresso a day
At the end, I thought my heart was going to explode, and went cold turkey for a while. Felt like shit for a week and thought my brain was going to explode the first time I had an energy drink (a month later), but otherwise no big problems.
I enjoy having a good cup of coffee after dinner or at a coffee house while getting work done, but I prefer my caffeine intake to not be an addiction, and be more of a special bonus or something to help me over a hump when necessary. So since it's currently finals time, I've had two redbulls in the last three days. On the average week, though, I probably have 2 cups of coffee and that's it, unless I have an important paper/exams.

No I will not. That is a statement of fact, and is a relevant response to a discussion about the "need" for caffeine. Sorry you can't tolerate it.
Maybe it's because I never started depending on caffeine in the first place, but I have never felt like I needed it, even when I was getting up at 3 AM to work. Or maybe I've actually been operating suboptimally this whole time, and if I started drinking caffeine I'd turn into a superhuman.

Yeah, you said you don't get enough sleep. You sound very irritable today muffin, perhaps you need a coffee?

Does espresso really do much? Perhaps it's because I don't regularly drink coffee, but every time I've ever had espresso it never did much for me. Mind you, it was always after a large meal and lots of alcohol.
I put a bit of espresso in my chai tea every morning, it does the trick.
Espresso with chai huh? How does it taste?

Yeah I could see the bitter overpowering the spicy. Interesting though. Chai tea is my favorite.
