I think he was referring to the bookings, not the idea for an outdoor daytime party

lol as if elec. island even had a lineup close to any party/festival/beach party overhere on any given weekend...not even close

Anyways, Piknik has had awesome lineups in the past so I don't see wtf he's talking about

I just think the constant comparisons need to stop. Who cares, why does it matter?

My social life has taken a big hit the last few months so I'm hoping I can have a great time here LOL.

Yes!

If it's special you want, then try a festival - one that happens once a year. I don't get why anyone would take 4 parties vs let's say every Sunday from the May long weekend to September long weekend. Or, how fewer parties automatically equal a more 'sepcial' experience

I think the EI parties are great and would take every weekend vs 4.

Electric Weekend falls on that 'extra day' we all get usually. Not taking up time from your usual busy weekend schedule be it whatever, birthdays, kids, family, DIY projects, 2nd or 3rd jobs etc. So it's a nice way to spend your 'extra day'.

Granted the guys behind Electric Island pull excellent bookings every weekend through their other ventures in the city, doing a 10 hour festival each weekend on Sundays,what is probably a difficult day to book, would spread the talent thin and probably ruin the WOW factor for each announcement.

Back to the previous thing I mentioned, most people have other commitments on the weekends, many of us are not students with nothing to do on the weekend and Summer weekends can be difficult to come by. Having only a few island parties allow the chance for more of us to come together on one day and enjoy each others company.

Yeah I've been to many festivals, and believe it or not, some people have plans/lives/interests aside from partying every single weekend.

The 4 days in the summer on the Mondays = perfect.... And digital dreams... Are you guys frazzled

I guess plans/lives/interests/etc are most likely not to fall on a summer long weekend
