Brooks/tiesto14 the legendary shit-stirrer! Shoutout to swamper for maintaining craigslist-levels of consistency. TA will always be a special place . I still listen to the �98-�05 stuff regularly and a surprising (for someone in their mid-40s) amount of new-ish tech house.

Hi all

The login page says I last logged in on 17 October 2005! I guess that makes me one of the original members. I am so glad to see TA still running and going strong. The layout and the graphics are still the same, which is comforting. I am still in love with trance music all these years, though I haven't visited TA forums. I am relistening to all the classic tracks from Ferry and Armin lately, which made me check this forum out again. It makes me want to upgrade my sound system to properly enjoy trance music!

I ran into some old schoolers at a party this weekend who joined around 2005/2006 and it made a great weekend even better! Nostalgia hits me hard too

Reddit is great for some things BUT if you don't reply to a top level comment OR come in 24+ hours later on a thread it's very rare your comment/reply will get any traction. The Gold/Silver/etc. awards use to help mitigate that but the upvote/downvote shit is a clusterfuck when your post goes against the grain of the sub

Reddit only came to be because of the DISASTER that was the digg.com re-design.

Went to a party last week where Tale of Us were playing, and man o man, was it great, but I'm getting older and didn't stay till the end like in the beginning when I joined...

We had great discussions here around 2000-2001. Swamper used to share some stellar fresh trance tracks. Thanks a lot for that!

I still love trance but I listen to a very broad range of different music nowadays.

I understand you're joking but there are several chess players who have hundreds of thousands or even millions of subscribers on YouTube alone.

For example GM Magnus Carlsen (#1 player in the world), GM Hikaru Nakamura, IM Levy Rozman (Gotham Chess), GM Daniel Naroditsky, IM Eric Rosen, WFM Anna Cramling, GM Igor Smirnov, IM Alex Banzea and NM Nelson Lopez publish great educational content. Levy is especially very entertaining.

During the last 8 months I have for example played almost 3500 puzzle storms on lichess.org. It's nice mental exercise and improves pattern recognition skills.
