A somnambulist is someone who walks in their sleep. I don't even know if Yewminyst is a real word... if it is I've never heard of it.

i don't know what the intention of Lamb was, but henryk gorecki is a composer. there is probably a more biblical reason, they seem to name there tracks like that...

System F - "Cry" is about somebody trying to take their own life i think, because in the music video you see, if i remember correctly, ferry corsten falling out of a window of a hotel or something

Thanx Floorfiller I searched over the internet on the Lamb fansites and found this:

From: http://www.gorecki.co.uk/
Who or what is "Gorecki"?
Henryk Mikolaj Grecki (pronounced go-ret-skee) is a modern composer (born in Poland, 1933) most famous for his 1976 3rd symphony entitled "Symphony of Sorrowful Songs". This music is most famous for being used in the final scene of the Peter Weir film "Fearless" (starring Jeff Bridges)

It was this symphony by Grecki that inspired Louise to write the song named after him.

Sasha - Motorola - this should be obvious
Charlie May - Behemoth - Final Fantasy reference??
Grayarea - Yewminyst - if you sound it out it's "Humanist"
Jam and Spoon - Stella - Stella was the name of one of the guy's g/fs at the time, I believe
Hi-Gate - Caned and Unable - biblical reference??
PPK - It's a gun, isn't it?
Schiller - Ein Schoner Tag - what's this mean?
Mirco De Govia - where does this name come from?
Barakka - Song To The Siren - the Siren was a mythical creature (I believe mermaid-like) who lured sailors to her via song...

A behemoth is a huge sea monster, often used in religious context.Schiller - Ein Schner Tag translates to Schiller - A Beautiful Day,and "Caned" is british slang for totally wasted on drugs,I think.

Mekka - Diamondback

Diamondback is the name of JX's(the producer behind Mekka) BMX bike.

Plastic Angel - Lass Mich Dein Sklave Sein

The title translates to "let me be your slave",and the vocals are in a similar vein.Naughty Elef

Schiller is a famous German poet/novelist from the 19th century, although its a very common german name, and "ein schoner tag" means "a beautiful/pretty day" BTW the melody/opera vocals form ein schoner tag are derived from the operette "Madame Butterfly" which has countless electronica remixes.. also check out RMB's rendidtion of it, originally produced by Trance Opera.

Behemoth is a humongous monster, out of the Bible originally i think, the equivalent of the Leviathan, just dry land. Usually depicted as a tremendously powerful, hairy and clawed monster.

liebesschmerz = love pains/ love suffering.

These are lyrics, probably some poetry?
Haven't translated it yet. One of my favorites:

Weit Im Nebel grauer Ferne liegt mir das vergangene Glck.
Nur an einem schnen Sterne hngt mit Liebe noch der Blick
aber wehe des Sternes Pracht, ist es nur ein Schein der Nacht?
Die Liebe kann alles verlangen, doch auch vergnglich kann sie
sein.
Was dahin ist und vergangen, kann es denn die Liebe sein?
Wenn das Liebesglck auch flieht, der Liebesschmerz wird nie
vergehen.

Chakras are a common concept in several disciplines of alternative medicine and traditional Oriental medicine. A chakra is a centre of energy which has several functions. In addition to being 'representative' of a particular organ or group of organs, a chakra also controls our being on different levels and it links these two representative states.

The concept of chakra is very important in therapies such as reiki, meditation, yoga, therapeutic touch, aura, etc. Because of its wider application across a number of disciplines it is covered as a separate topic.

The word chakra is a Sanskrit word that means wheel. From a side view, a chakra looks like a cone with its point plugging into your spine to receive energy, and its opening about four inches from your body.

by the way, i love the word synaesthesia

I'll try to translate this as far as my german skills will let me:

"Far away into the remote misty gray lies my past joy.
Only a few beautiful stars still carry the look of love (<-not sure about this)
but alas the beauty of the stars, is it only a shimmer of light in the night?
Love can require everything, but can also easily pass by.
Can that which has passed by and lies behind be love?
When the dear joy flees, the dear pain will never cease."

Argh, that was damn hard, but I think I made a decent translation out of it.

well..

'The ancient Hebrew alphabet consisted of numbers...
each letter..was a number..

if you add the numbers of the letters in the Hebrew word for 'Garden of Eden,' you get 144

if you add the numbers of the letters in the Hebrew word for 'Tree of Knowledge,' you get 233

now, according to an Italian Mathematician (Fibonacci)..
if you divide 233 ['The Tree of Knowledge']
by 144 ['The Garden of Eden']
you get a number close to Theta..
which is the Greek symbol for the Golden Spiral (or..'the end')'

---inspired by the movie 'Pi', yes.

as for the actual sequence,
you got it right

it's...infinite
and the last term is always the sum of the two numbers preceeding it

i think it may start at 1, though...

1,1,2,3,5,8,13...infinitum

Aha thanks for Yewminyst, I never realized that. As for PPK, they got that from the first letter of their last names, but the K guy left later on
