hmm, everyone has their own opinion, but I can't understand how some tunes got into this thread...:

Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone - 3rd Earth

magical melody, energetic, great vocals.. probably the most energetic solar stone tune so far, yes many people seem to like it, but it's by no means "shit"

Exposure - Magic Impuls

it was my fav for last year, its one of my alltime favs now, just listen to that buildup! mike's tunes are all awesome, but some tend to sound a bit too artificial, this one sounds so natural and dark.. cant find anything wrong in the tune

Sasha - Wavy Gravy

who mentioned this.. have you ever listened carefully to it? it is SO fuckin' complex! even if u dont like it, u gotta admit this is not something you get done on an afternoon on fruity or something.. fuckin' masterpiece.

agreed.

andain - beautiful things

a good tune, but i don't really think it deserves all the hype. or maybe it's not my taste. or maybe it'll grow on me, like southern sun did.

what really upsets me, is this sudden Gabriel & Dresden explosion. i became a huge fan way back when they remixed andain and mindcircus (and i was listening to mindcircus long before audiogalaxy was dead, meaning i found it way before everybody else started liking it), yet it makes me sad to see how only now people are starting to make G&D alliances & numerous threads about them. it looks like everybody's finally catching up with the hype.

mostly depends on the number of times you have heard the song. major example: ligaya

first time i heard it, i thought it was a tribute to 9/11

now after 4 million reloops I am disgusted with the song.

not that the song is overrated, or any other song.. i think its just a question of popular replay.

that's why if i really like the song, i seldom listen to it, and then it's like a little party for me

but, of course, there are classic tunes that i could just listen 3 times a day and not get tired of them (cough *silence* cough)

OBVIOUSLY the MOST overhyped track would be

Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar

Remember the first time you heard it? Crap. Crap Crap!
Thank GOD it was forgoteN! NOBODY plays it anymore!
One thing is for sure, TIME kills those loser songs!

I'm kidding folkS! take it easy! I bet half of you were about to kick the living crap out of me.

i too became a huge fan long ago...first thing i heard from them was their remix of Southern Sun, which was great, and then their remix of Mindcircus, which just blew me away on first listen, but recently with their Global DJ Broadcasts and that one mother of an essential mix showcasing their new productions & remixes, which are numerous and are i think its safe to say, ALL QUALITY, its no wonder theyre getting this much hype....and its well deserved i say...why be upset, i'm glad theyre finally getting this recognition

I totally agree
Their new EM is simply amazing
I always liked G+D productions, such as mindcircus...that was what started it
but I never really heard much from them until 2003
With tracks like
Duncan Sheik - On A High (Gabriel and Dresden Love From Humboldt Dub)
Andain - Beautiful Things (Gabriel and Dresden Unplugged Mix)
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes
Josh Gabriel - Alive (Club Mix)
Nalin and Kane - Beachball (Gabriel and Dresden's South Beach Vacation)
in their latest EM
it's no wonder that they are getting the attention that they are receiving
