the hd25s are great headphones, sure. most people on these forums already know that already. if you look at any headphone thread you will see these mentioned as the best DJ cans you can buy.

the fact that you even mentioned the hd25sp's as the second option really kills your credibility.

they are shite.

and the fact that you lumped all sony and technics and pioneer headphones into the same category shows that you are merely brand loyal or disloyal without using these cans yourself.

while the sony v500/600/700 etc are crap IMO, the 7506s are probably the second best DJ headphones on the market, and some people like them more then the hd25s.

they are also half the price of the hd25s. are the hd25s twice as good as the 7506s? no way.

the 7506 is the pro version of the V6s, with gold connectors. same drivers and material.

they are sturdy as hell and all parts are replaceably.

i HATE 99.9% of Sony products.

i am a big believer in the 7506s.

I hope you are right I am waiting for my sony's to arrive.
I just ordered mine through ebay. Somebody is selling pairs for 70$.
I heard they are good ,espesially for the money I payed for them...

fair enough... however i still think certain things should be left to certain speciallists. my advise is to go with what are best. the hd-25's. your choice are probably great but they are not considered industry standard. neither are my sp's!!! but i bought mine after doing my research and finding these the most cost effective for my duties.

hd-25's dont break. they do the job and are only slightly more expensive than the also ran models.

its like saying stantons are better than technics just cos they have better toque rating. gold plating the terminals doesnt do shit all. its a gimmic that sennheiser dont cash in on.

if people have the money to buy the best then why not do it?

from all that i wrote you pick gold plating the terminals as to what to respond to? come on man. did i ever say that the gold plating was what made these headphones good?

the V6s/7506s are probably more widely used then are the hd25s. and i am even saying the hd25s are BETTER. but they are barely better for twice the price.

7506s are also rans?!?!?! LOL. you obviously dont know much about headphones and someone convinced you that the sennheisers are great and you are here trying to justify your purchase.

well, you made the wrong purchase. the hd25 sp's are SHITE compared to the 7506s and dont come close to the hd25s.

the SPs were made for people who cant afford the real deal and THINK that the SPs will be a good substitue. you've been had.

i like sennheiser headphones. i even like the 280s. you would have been better off with those.

sorry if i hit a nerve by sounding as if im slagging your choice off. i wasnt. however, you seemed like you had a bone to pick when you commented on my 'almost' useful advice.

i have my experience with headphones and stand by my honest views that if people are willing to fork out big amounts then they should go for the industry standard.

if judge jules uses sp's then they re fine for me or anyone else for that matter.

i ll stay in the music producers forum from now on. it does nt get this fickle there...

nah dude, its not about fickle. it just seemed like you walked into this forum, opened an OLD thread, and started spewing info that was biased and somewhat untrue.

no hard feelings.

i encourage banter and the sharing of info on these forums. it allows people to gather the info and make an eduacted decision.

my arguement was that you cant make a blanket statement when certain thngs are untrue. i hate sony products, but the V6 and 7506 are and have been part of the industry standard for years.

while i hate the v500/600/700, the v6 and 7506 are head and shoulders better then they are. they have been used in pro studios for decades.

test everyting out and dont thin that because a company makes a few good products, that all of theiur products will be top. and dont think that because a company makes generally poor products, that all of them will be poor.

a lot of producers and DJs use the 7506 (see PVD).

my hope is that maybe this thread will open your eyes a bit to some other products.

i just didnt want someone coming into this thread and get bad info.
