Something that was brought up on another forum.
There's a possibility of Carolina vs Anaheim being in the Stanley Cup finals. Would you watch?

Posted by elFreak on May-08-2009 01:15:

Posted by chimera66 on May-08-2009 02:05:

What the hell, Jay? Do you have a mancrush on Juicy Yo-kinen?

I've seen you mention him in every post of yours for the last few days.

He's a great guy, but looks too Russian imo

I just think that he is one of the really great stories in these playoffs.

He went from being a Tampa Bay castoff claimed on waivers to being the biggest reason Carolina is still in it and leading the series.

2 huge last minute goals against the devils and the overtime winner against the boooooooooooooouins.

If he keeps it up and Carolina manages somehow to win the whole shebang, he could seriously be a contender for the Conn Smyth trophy. Pretty good for a guy that one of the worst teams in the league did not want anymore no?

Plus i thought his being a Finn would make you happy turn coat.

In unrelated news it is looking more and more like Mr Koivu will not Finnish (pun intended) his career with the Habs. It doesn't bother me that much either.

The second round has been awesome. The Wings vs Ducks game was a little one sided and boring, but the Hawks vs Nucks game was pretty good. I love sudden death Thank god for no shootouts in the playoffs, as entertaining as they can be at times. Tonight I look forward to watching both games.

*fap fap fap*

I haven't seen him play this season, so I wouldn't know. All I know is that he scored those goals you mentioned, and from what I've gathered he did a pretty good job at pissing Brodeur off?

Does he play wing? When he still played in Finland he was known as a center who could also play wing. But I don't think he gets to play center in Carolina? He was also a pretty solid penalty-killer, good skater that he is. Does he get to play short-handed in the Canes?

i told you guys

jussi played another great game.

lol varlamov

looked swiss last night.

ovy getting rid of gonchar might be the turning point. I don't think it was a dirty hit (looked like an accident) but without gonchar the pens have not been able to be good this year.

Ovy needs to be careful now, they are going to be headhunting.

Posted by Ian on May-09-2009 18:33:

I agree Jay based on the fact he went into it like he normally does and mistimed it. When you have the skills & output that he does, I don't think there's any need to get into any trouble either purposely. I expect the big guns to be out for retribution too.

We must take tonight. If it goes 3-2 down then pitts will have 3 on the bounce and be favourites to take it 4-2. If we halt the slide and get to 3-2, game 7 if needed will be at home and we'll have to sort it out.

Posted by elFreak on May-09-2009 18:38:

gonchar fucked himself by the way he tries to avoid the hit.

goaltending decides this series, aka i would not be surprised to see theodore play tonight.

Posted by Ian on May-09-2009 19:09:

that's a brave call. It wouldn't surprise me either but I get the feeling he'll stick with Varly. I really would've pulled him after that glove shot though to keep him out of the spotlight and maybe rest his mind for tonight.

Posted by elFreak on May-09-2009 19:12:

the last 2 games he has looked like a goalie that is not even fit to play in a local garage league.

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on May-09-2009 19:44:

I'd say the last one game - Game 3 was close only because he had like 40 saves. The Caps' defense could help him out a whole lot more.

Whatever they do, they definitely need to win tonight.

Posted by bamski on May-09-2009 19:50:

Jay, did you catch my post about JJ? You happen to know any of the things I asked...?

Posted by elFreak on May-09-2009 19:52:

they have him killing penalties and on the pp.

he is playing left wing, sorry i missed it.

btw those 40 shots included goals he should have stopped lez. This is the playoffs
