Haha, np.

Really glad to hear that, it's probably one of the biggest signs of trust a coach can give when you let someone play pk/pp.

TBH I didn't think he had it in him. The beauty of hockey is that someone can seem like a lost cause for years, and suddenly he gets 'reborn' if you will. IMO another great example would be Niklas Hagman, ye?

Posted by elFreak on May-09-2009 20:14:

i like hagman.
i don't think anyone expected this from jussi, during the regular season he was nowhere to be found, but in the playoffs it changed big time. Anything he gets now, it is because he slowly earned it.

He said he was a bit down after Tampa sacked him, but afterwards he said that he never liked them one bit. I guess it just took a while for him to get settled in Carolina..

PS... PM

...penguins are looking good

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on May-10-2009 01:37:

Ha, I was just going to say the Caps are looking decent tonight. I really like Backstrom - he's creating a lot of opportunities to put the puck on goal.

Malkin is a heart crusher.

Posted by Lebezniatnikov on May-10-2009 01:57:

Bah.

lolololololol @ game winning goal off Poti's stick

That's the Tom Poti I know!

I blame Yanni

you can cut the tension with a knife.

Posted by Ian on May-10-2009 12:01:

Well, it's do or die for us next time out. What heartens me however is that we have a really good core of young players which will help in the future and they'll all gain a lot from playing some more seasoned players. I'd love to get to the eastern finals but if it doesn't happen, we have to make it count next year.

Posted by elFreak on May-10-2009 12:09:

The caps have trouble playing tight hockey. Until they fix that, they will never win. Run and gun does not work in the playoffs. Series ain't over yet.

Posted by bamski on May-10-2009 12:11:

You're not over yet!

*fist pumps and does a line off korg zero 8*

Posted by elFreak on May-11-2009 13:09:

only 2 teams showed up last night, ass whoopings all around.

will tonight see our first teams advance? If Van chokes again it will be lol.

Posted by Ian on May-11-2009 14:30:

Well. Do or die time again tonight. I'm looking forwards to watching it & hoping we can just take it to 7.

Posted by elFreak on May-12-2009 11:36:

The Canadian cup drought continues!

Washington got lucky, but you need luck in the playoffs. LOL @ bruce boudreau going ballistic at the penalty called with 2 mins left in the 3rd. Refereeing continues to be horrible in the nhl. It was much better when there was only 1.

WHO THE FUCK IS ALEXANDER SEMIN??????

Posted by sponger on May-14-2009 19:09:

im a penguins fan and soooo happy they kicked the caps asses in game 7! i cant stand Ovechkin, cant believe noone took his head off after what he did to Gonchar! now he can spend all his free time reading articles on himself, narcissistic bastard!

lol semen.

it does not matter sponger, the cup is staying in the west this year.

Posted by sponger on May-14-2009 20:21:

pens - wings rematch! since anaheim is my home team i hope they win tonite, although if it was anaheim vs pens in the finals that would be bitter sweet

Posted by elFreak on May-14-2009 20:23:

i am not really a fan of any of the teams left, but i also hope the ducks take it.

Posted by verndogs on May-14-2009 21:19:

Pittsburgh deserved that win for simply taking advantage of some shoddy Rangers like defending

imo back to back championships are hard and a championship for a team with rookie leaders doesn't seem to make much sense. if i were a bettng person i would say the cup is going east.

Good to see the Anaheim Ducks' reputation for the rough stuff carries over to the front office.

WJBK FOX 2 in Detroit is reporting tonight that "a stage manager for a media outlet" has accused Ducks General Manager Bob Murray of hitting her with a stool after he was enraged by Dan Cleary's game-winning goal in Thursday's Game 7 at Joe Louis Arena.
