Giambi will mess up the line up...As much as I like the guy he isnt ready to walk back into the team....

Go O's. Taking 4 of 6 from us and the Yankees. I'm impressed.

And we still have a lot of games left against them..I think youve got them another seven times and weve got them another six times,,including the last three games of the season which i guess is gonna be critical.....

hah....well im happy they decided to win a game that i watched. i decided not to watch yesterday for the sake of every other yankees fan, but i couldn't ignore it today.

As a side note, this is probably one of the most balanced baseball seasons i can remember. There isn't a single race that is decided at this point. The biggest lead in any playoff race is 5 games in the AL east. This is going to be a very exciting september.

Fuck dude the hostility towards Sheff was incredible...If he said what they say he said then "he deserves it...But how can the fans totally disregard everything he did for us...

Sheila likened him to Schilling...A talented guy with a big mouth...

let's take a look at what sheff did for the yankees:

prior to sheff becoming a yankee: 27 world series titles
after sheff becoming a yankee:
2004 - knocked out of ALCS by Boston
2005 - knocked out of LDS by LA
2006 - Injured all year, then yankees knocked out by Detroit in LDS

To the average yankees fan his contributions mean shit considering the yankees never won.

Wakefield is quietly having a really solid season, just throwing that out there.

Melke @ CF and Abreu @ RF aint working..They dont seem to communicate..Damon @ CF was cool because he was too slow to get in anybodys way..

melke is fine...he still takes some bad routes to balls, but he's much better than damon.

there was no way either was getting to that ball last night. blame henn, not melke.

he also has no arm whatsoever...

makes more sense to put El Leche out in CF

He's a bitch in the outfield. Seriously, he throws rainbows to second and they still bounce before they reach the base. The term "he throws like a girl" was make just for him.

I can't even think of another outfielder that can't throw a rope from short center to second.

Wow. 10 RBIs for Garret Andersen. That is just nuts.

Sox vs Devil Rays

Yanks vs Angels

Nothing like a mismatch that goes in your favor.

Mike Mussina has to go....i've been saying that for about 2 years now. His signing was just another cashman fiasco

Joba Chamberlin is looking very Jonathan Papelbon-ish.

I just hope he doesn't get stuck in the bullpen in front of mariano next year. Clearly igawa is out, cashman is a moron if he gives clemens another contract, and mussina is simply a sunken cost. That opens up a spot for the young stud.

The rotation next year is looking pretty nice at the momennt. Hughes will get better, hopefully Chamberlin can do this as a starter, and both wang and pettitte will be there. Unfortunately mussina will be in the rotation as well.

i couldn't believe that when i read it. simply amazing, but not as amazing as brandon webbs 3 consecutive complete game shut outs, and 48 consecutive innings without an ER. He's closing the gap with Orel; two more games and he can top him.

haha...i just saw that on espn. that's what happens when you work eleven hours everyday. My bad. Still, 3 consecutive complete game shut outs is amazing.

Posted by partyhopper on Aug-25-2007 07:32:

And the game is finally over at 3:30 am, on a 3-run walk-off home run by Carlos Guillen for the Tigers.
Good thing for both teams that their next game isn't a day game.

I dont think Chamberlain will be a starter next year. He might start like 10 games in the event they need to fill a rotation spot. Otherwise he will stay in long relief. The last thing the Yankees want to do is get a flame thrower like Joba hurt like Liriano. He will not be rushed into the rotation.

Although, I wouldnt be surprised to see him start a game in the playoffs this year.
