Well, you could always go for the classic suit shorts.

^^^^LOL Stereoprincess!
Untzahol it was Lanai but I know the promoter at Kingdom who is also a former TA and would not have had a problem getting in for Digweed.
The only venue I'd really care to dress up for on this trip is Space. The other venues are either pool parties or divey clubs like Electric Pickle and Treehouse. Fuck Story, LIV, Mansion, Cameo and all those douchey bottle service clubs.
Get Lost Miami: I just want to know if the garden / jungle area will be open. That's the only thing I care about. I'm not going to prepay 70 some bucks if theres not going to be music out there in that wonderful lush area
speaking of Treehouse.. What is the dress code there? Because if I don't have to wear jeans I will gladly come fresh and showered in shorts. Coming from hideously cold NY would make a nice change to wear shorts to a night party.

I had the best time at Apollonia, everybody threw it down with proper tunes. Sebo K was just a monster on the decks, wow!
I have an extra ticket for Get Lost, my friend flaked out. $65 and its yours. PM me if you want it.
I'm in Miami stealing your hometown for the weekend

| Originally posted by ucforange What does "about the music" even mean? If it means taking a bunch of ketamine, looking like a slob, and being socially awkward, then you can have it. Was at Treehouse for the Appollonia gig on Monday and while I liked the music (well until Anja Schneider went into a k-hole, at which point our group was "WTF is this shit" and left), the crowd was fucking god-awful. This is why I like Space, even moreso when it's not WMC. You actually have to put an effort into going out that night. Makes for a better crowd, better vibe, better everything. Not a fan of the hipster vibe that I experienced at Treehouse. Not saying everyone there was, but when you have 33 year old raggedy-ass dudes that probably live in their mom's spare bedroom that look at you funny because you are dancing and having a good time, there's a problem. Don't understand how anyone considers that shit fun. If it was truly about the music, then there would have been a little bit of energy in that place. The few people that were dancing (besides a token few hot girls) were in obvious k-holes, bobbing their heads up and down and swaying their legs like they were hammered from a dozen well vodka shots. Will definitely be hitting up Story for their underground parties on Saturday night when I move down there in a few months. Maybe it was just that particular party on Monday night -- I hope the next Treehouse experience will be much better. I love underground beats like Drumcode, the Detroit sounds (Saunderson, Craig, etc), obviously (just look at my post history), but much prefer nice clubs with a nice crowd -- and yes I don't mind getting a bottle given the right situation. The attitude that this and other boards have towards bottles and shit is kinda nauseating. Yes, there are douchebags that are only about bottles and have no idea about the music, but as far as I know, there's not a "rule" in the scene that you must refrain from going to nice clubs and maybe splurging on a bottle. It might just be jealousy of the "underground" crowd.. I do admit that I don't like VIP tables hogging up any kind of dance space -- which is why Story is perfect. Mansion can suck a dick. P.S. snats: don't get mad at me bro! Lol, you were cool as hell, one of the cooler TAs I've met yet. If the rest of the place was more like you, then it would've been awesome. |
I like hipsters compared to the crowd I hung around with years ago at grimmey hip hop clubs
But most importantly of all.. Cocoon!!!!!!
DRUM CODE!

To each their own. I was at Treehouse Monday and had an amazing time. Everybody was dancing and enjoying themselves, no dress code just good music. Sebo K and Apollonia ripped it!
