Wow, at first I thought I was in the wrong place. hehe

This little thread is attracting the masses! This is what happens when guys start imagining Daffs in tight leather pants! I'll have to find someplace else to hide, eh?

Adam Ant and Dire Straits!

More, more!

I learned to snowboard in Greenland. But I couldn't compare it to anything because I have not yet skiied or snowboarded anywhere else.

Posted by daffodil on Nov-08-2003 03:40:

no echo, you're not allowed to leave!! i was thinking the same thing earlier today, this place is attracting the masses. i like the ski/snowboard discussion because i'm dying to hit the slopes again. occrider, do you like killington? steamboat ruined that place for me, i've become a ski-out-west snob.

not doing anything tonight because there's really nothing to do. so, more job applications! woohoo.

You could drink while doing job applications.

I am accepting applications for the escort slot still

My mom is here...she came up to take the truck back down to Champagin and is going to take off in the morning so I will not be doing much posting and such hehe.

I dislike snowboarders cause the damn thing was not invented when I learned to ski in Vail in 1983.

If anyone is a Giant Slalom skiier and wants to buy a pair of 174cm K2 Patriot G5's ('00) that have been only worn a couple of times I am willing to part with them for a good price. I got lied to by the salesman and they are way beyond my capabilities these days (I learned that in Whistler)

Hello to the new people....especially the lady type peoples.

Quick lyrics by the greatest trio in rock history, The Police (I heard this in the car on the way to pick my mom up and I thought it was a good post song)

Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my, be my,
Be my girl

(spoken words)
I was blue and lonely, I couldn't sleep a wink
And I could only get unconscious if I'd had to much to drink.
There was somehow, something wrong somewhere,
And each day seemed grey and dead
The seeds of desperation were growing in my head.
I needed inspiration, a brand new start in life,
Somewhere to place affection, but I didn't want a wife.
And then by lucky chance I saw [in] a special magazine
An ad. that was unusual, the like I'd never seen,
"Experience something different with our new imported toy,
She's loving, warm, inflatable and a guarantee of joy."
She came all wrapped in cardboard, all pink and shrivelled down
A breath of air was all she needed to make her lose that frown.
I took her to the bedroom and pumped her with some life,
And later in a moment that girl became my wife.
And so I sit her in the corner and sometimes stroke her hair
And when I'm feeling naughty I blow her up with air
She's cuddly and she's bouncy, she's like a rubber ball,
I bounce her in the kitchen and I bounce her in the hall.
[And now my life is different since Sally came my way]
I wake up [in the] morning and have her on a tray
She's everything they say she was and I wear a permanent grin,
And I only have to worry in case my girl wears pins.
(end of spoken words section)

Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my girl
Won't you be my, be my,
Be my girl

Well....uhm salary wise I pay for room and board.

No writing involved.

Benefits are negotiable

But we have to keep it all on the hush-hush so the stalker won't find out

Me am off to bed.

Try hitting some moguls with my old school 195cm K2 Extreme's and get back to me with that capabilities chatter. I've come closer to death on those things than anything else that I can think of. LMAO. They are fast, though.

That is pretty much the feeling I got on these. Sweet skis...just not good for someone who is at best an intermediate skiier these days.

I am gonna sell them and start demoing everytime I go out to the mountains. My roomate did that and was able to try 4 different pairs in 5 days.

At least until I live out west and can drive to the mountains...then I might pick me up a pair of K2 Axis skis.

I am off to pick my mom up and drive her home...my truck which she came up here to get only lasted about 35 miles before it died

Talk to you all tomorrow I guess.

lol. Yeah that's what makes this thread special. No arguing, no flaming, no putdowns.

I think Mr S should fire me as his stalker. I keep forgetting to stalk!

Edit: Oh both Mr S and Mebot snuck a post in while I was working on my website. Hi you guys. lol Mr S is off again; whew, I can postpone my note to self to stalk until tomorrow.

The weird thing is... how did I post Hello before your post saying Hi to me and Mr S?

hmmmm

Posted by daffodil on Nov-08-2003 23:05:

hi mebot one more week until armin!!

i'm about to go spend a lot of money on a cropped pink corduroy jacket with pink fur lining and collar. i was such a shopping whore today, but i don't feel so bad about spending the money because i'm going to be working and not in school next semester.

Posted by Mebot on Nov-08-2003 23:12:

Hello Ms Daffodil!

yes 1 more week till armin, Its going to be so badassingly awesome.

I just spent some more dough myself on new wax from Chem Records. I really need to stop spending it cos i have no job and i need to save up for christmas shopping

(and upcoming shows too )

Posted by MrSquirrel on Nov-08-2003 23:42:

Ok so I get out the door and my cell phone says "new voicemail". My mom called me up and said not to come get her because my step-dad was at the Museum of Science and Industry with his grandkids and was going to come and get her because they were just leaving.

So I went and rented a couple movies and deposited my paycheck and bought some necessities at the grocery store and now I am again at home.

For you DC area folks it is one week till Armin....for me it is one week to PVD.

Which reminds me, I need to go buy our tix after work on monday. I am not about to pay 8.50 a ticket to ticketmaster, thus I am going to drive down to the HOB and buy them from the box office. It isn't all that far from where I work anyway.

F.Y.I. Stalkers are free to apply for the aforementioned job opening as well.

Oh I opened the reply window and then thought of something and maximized my dreamweaver window over the TA reply window...then came back to my reply window, typed my reply and sent it. So you and Mr S popped your posts in here while I was in Dreamweaver.

EDIT: As soon as I read both of your posts, I edited mine to include the greeting. Because I edited immediately, you couldn't tell. That I edited.

Mr S, your geography confuses me. The Museum of Science and Industry is in Washington DC. I thought you were somewhere...like Chicago?

I'm going shopping for gifts for my mothers and sisters at home next weekend. I'm still not used to cities. People seem to move so quickly and it's easy to get disoriented. But I'm going shopping in San Francisco. Hopefully, we won't get lost.

Haha. Your stalker can barely (bearly?) tie her shoes, braid her hair, and get her schoolwork done!

To end said confusion:

I live outside of Chicago.

My dad lives outside of D.C.

My mom lives a couple hours south of here.

I bought the car from my dad and drove it back here on tuesday.

Hope that helps.
