OS/2 What type of fuel can we bring for our bbq's? I recall Lighter fluid not being let in last year. (Got confiscated at the gate from us)

Posted by tripppin on Jun-10-2003 21:54:

So sad about the line-up. I was hoping the techno and goa stages would be better represented. And no electro?
Observant is he who noted the lack of Germans. What's up with that? The Germans are the fucking masters of electronica and no one invited them? Tragic really.
Still. I'm there.

Any camp fuel is fine with me... as long as you have a bbq with you that uses that type of fuel there is no issue

Ok, if anyone hasn't heard yet, there's something or someone going to be added WEMF. I'm thinking it's a DJ under DAWM Management(DAMN DJ'S) !!!
I'm hoping it's either M.I.K.E. or Mark Eg (think he's still banned though)

So OS/2 who or what is it???

Posted by sonic_emperor on Jun-16-2003 10:08:

nice party

nice party, many good djs,but it can't be world, there are only djs from usa, can,jp & uk,if talking about an international rave, mayday is the best, talking bout an open air...nature one...

Posted by DJOS2 on Jun-16-2003 19:34:

Well, the World Series is only teams from Canada and the US... hehe

I think that USA, Canada, Japan, & the UK is a fair representation of the world. If you think that it isn't, open up your eyes and mind man. Damn. I guess that you'll never be satisfied. I doubt that Mayday has artists from every country on the globe.

wtf?
What about GermanY? Holland? Russia? Italy? Australia? Let me guess, you're from US! That is the precise reason why people tend to dislike Americans. Quit dwelling in ignorance and giving us a bad name.

p.s. shit, gotta buy tickets!

Posted by AmbiguousBliss on Jun-16-2003 21:11:

You can't possibly expect every single country to be represented during an event such as this one. The line-up looks fine to me.

No one's being obliged to attend...

Posted by dEsidEL on Jun-16-2003 21:15:

KarateKid

Cor is from Holland and Orkidea from Finland .. so there's 2 more countries to the list for WEMF ..

i think it would be too hard to call it a CAnada-USA-UK-Holland-Finland-Japan Electronic Music Festival .. so "World" is a lot easier ...

Posted by DiS on Jun-17-2003 06:11:

Let me be the FIRSt to inform ya ALL of thiS!!!!!!!

HAHA!!! We can bring our OWN alcohol!!!
TICKETs are CHEAPER NOW!!! I'm in 100%! Sorry for posting this vibe, but...I couldn't resist!

JUNE 16, 2003 UPDATE:

Over the years many battles have been fought to bring you this event. We have always been there to fight for your right to party and this year is no different! With pressure from the overblown media hype surrounding the non-existent SARS crisis to dealing with hypocritical members of the establishment, we have been kept very busy in our efforts. To make this event the best it can be and to allow it to happen in a fully legal and permitted environment, we have made some changes that we feel will allow us to continue bringing you the quality show you have come to expect. You spoke and we listened! Based on the overwhelming demand to return to the beach, we have done just that. This year we have decided to move WEMF2003 to a new and improved lakeside venue featuring a beautiful sandy beach, proper zoned camp grounds to which you can drive and park your own vehicle, BYOB and have a campfire. There is a fully licensed restaurant, running water, showers, flush toilets and even an indoor pool. The venue also features both indoor and outdoor stages. Outdoor stages will run throughout the day and evening and massive indoor halls will accommodate late night beats. Not only are we offering this improved venue but we are doing it at a reduced price. We encourage everyone to join us as we once again make history!
NEW REDUCED PRICES:

3 Day Packages
Early Bird - CDN$50.00 - Before July 7 (While Supplies Last)
Advance - CDN$65.00 - Before July 25 (While Supplies Last)
At The Gate - CDN$75.00

2 Day Packages

well,i didnt expect that every country has its representative, but, talking bout mayday,we must say right away that techno isn't only from detroit,in europe its considered as a german product,in fact its one of the largest german export products, you cant say that westbam, sven vaeth,PvD,marusha, chris liebing...and other superstar DJs from germany arent one of the bests, and if one rave wants to become something in the whole world,to get a respect as mayday or loveparade have, those people have to be there, and on mayday you can see people from germany,uk,italy,france,us,uk,netherlands,japan,singapore,finnland,sweden,spain...and even croatia etc,all the raves in germany are a result of strong rave spirit this land has,its a rave homeland, there wasnt a land in this world where rave culture was taken seriously as there,it became an institution, where else was a track like "sonic empire"(electronic music track) sold in more than 500000 copies, and became no1 in the sales charts...?i respect every rave comunity in the world, but must say that one in germany really could cause something, and its voice could be heard

LOVE PEACE & RAVE,c u @ mtv valkana beach festival
