Kota - Waiting (12" Vocal Mix)...not necessarily depressing, but an amazing vocal track none the less. It blatantly sounds like a Darren Tate production, or at least I'd be extremely surprised to find that it isn't. In the same vein as DT8 - Destination, but I think I prefer this one.
Anyway, my ultimate depressing vocal track would have to be Art of Trance feat. Caroline Lavelle - Breathe (Dawnseekers Mix). Hopefully no-one else has mentioned it...
it certainly was mr tate and i think it's one of his best productions so far. i think i prefer the instrumental version thou
I can't believe noone has mentioned:
Brittany - I'm not a girl, not yet a woman (Original Mix)

the poetic potential of that song is just undescribable.
On a more serious note, why are ppl listing fast-paced uplifting trance and labeling it depressing? I guess too many ppl confuse emotional trance w/ depressing trance.
To spice up the current list let me recommend this:
Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes (Trifactor Blue Room Remix)
this track has everything, lyrics and a mellow beat with an excellent melody, a perfect mood setter even though not exactly the typical trance that's being listed so far.

I have a song that makes me sad, and I do mean REALLY sad. I still love it though.
BT ft. JC Chasez - Force of Gravity (Ferry Corsten bootleg remix)
One reason why it makes me sad is because it's a great song to me and it won't be released.
Another reason (this being the main one) I dedicated it to one of my ex-gfs and a day or two later, she dumped me.
I was fortunate to hear Ferry throw this down live on 5/1/04 @ Space, Miami. I got PWNED when that happened.
Yanou - On & On (Djs @ Work Remix)
You may consider it cheesy, but I've actually enjoyed it since the first moment I heard it. It's just strange how it is good and cheesy at the same time. Anyway, it's a bit depressing.
Boss@nova - Stone Cold
BTW sozz for the bump, was using "Search" to find this.
Origene - Sanctuary (DJ Irene Mix)
So beautiful... "take this light, hold it high.. feel it shine.."

I always wonder why most people listen to depressing music when they are down, it would be more logical to play the opposit of what we are feeling at such a moment, be we don't, quite odd imo.

| GreenCourt - Silent Heart ( Wippenberg Remix) + Club Mix, both very sad |
Ligaya - GOURYELLA
Burned With Desire - ARMIN VAN BUUREN
Circles Of Why - ELLES DE GRAAF
From Dark To Light - EMPYREAL SUN feat. ELLES DE GRAAF
Those are great emotional tracks!
