Monkey Dancer 2 UNBELIEVABLE

Ok so now that I'm back in the city, it's time for my full on and proppa review.

After being hungover from the previous night, I picked up Peter and Beh from Dundas West Station and the procedeed to pick up Pris from Don Mills station for the premeet at Frankie Tomatoes. You guys are more than welcome for the ride. I'm glad I could help you out. Pris I would have driven you the entire way home but you couldn't get your stuff out of Rays car, but next time.

I met a few new people at Frankies but didn't have a chance to really talk to anyone as we were a bit late, and then Eso had to be at Viva by 9:45 so I had to depart early. Sorry for not getting a chance to talk to everyone.

Got to the club while they still had the flourescents on. What a weird feeling. They didn't even have music on at that point. I got to watch the club fill up and progess through the evening.

Eso you were unbelievable. I know how nervous you were (remember the gum incident) but when you got into it you were fantastic. (11/10)

Mobius. What can I say, I think you blew everyone out of the water. Nobody expected that from you and it was just supreme. I want a copy of your demo. 11/10

Walter Rosati. His mixing was off in the beginning and I was disappointed with most of his track selection. He played a lot tunes that he spun when he opened for Edgar V. The remix of clocks got the crowd working though. 6/10

At some point around here as well, I feel asleep on the couch in the lisenced area for about 5 minutes.

Dumonde. Well I can say that I've never really heard of these guys before but I have now and holy facking shit, they were out of this world. What a hard and dirty set. There was so much energy in the music that the crowd was going wild the entire night. (15/10)

Some amazing tunage dropped although I'm not very good with naming them, I recognized alot of them. There was a song that I was listening to on the couch with Jenna and I believe she said it was called sticky dirty floors or something like that. We'll I can't find it so if someone knows anything about this, it would be appreciated. I might perhaps have the song wrong.

Anyway, this was one of the most exciting nights in a while, seeing I mised LoL. I think I'm going to cool off for a while until PVD (hopefully I'll be able to make it to that). Shoutouts to all the new TA's I met and all the regulars. Sorry I was so quiet that night, but my lack of energy was due to a long day, and an even longer night. I hate when I have no energy. Had it not been for Dumonde, I probably would have fallen asleep.

Beh, Rich, Az, Ray, Marg, Graham, Del, Ari, Emz, Christina, Rob, John, Peter, Carlos, Corrine, Mike, Jenna, Erika, Colin, Tara, Matt, Chris, Aaron, Steve, Carlos, Lauren, Tordan (sorry I keep forgetting your name), mpjohnson (hope you knee gets better), RJ, Mirza, Pris, Jason, Drewfactor, Liang, Maxtuh, Ola, Flec (I hope I haven't forgotten anybody and if I have, you have the right to kick my ass)

What an incredable night!

The party started jumping right at 10:30 when ESO started with some wicked trance.

Then MOBIUS rocked the room with some dirty techno (thanks bro). Best I have ever heard from him. I know we will be seeing much more of Carlos in the future. "You're my boy, Blue!"

Walter played much, much better than at Egar V. Good job, but still too many top 20 tracks!

DuMonde....what can I say....
The truth of it is, that I never really even cared about DuMonde before this night. I was just there to see the TA DJs, but wholy shit... DuMonde is unbelieveable! My love of melodic, banging trance is back at an all time high.

And last, but not least.....Mark Oliver continues to shine as one of the best djs I have ever heard. We are so lucky to have him in Toronto.

Big shouts to all the TAs rockin the place! It feels like everyone is getting closer in the past little while and it really makes parties better.
Sorry to Maxtuh about the ride....I just could't leave.

Thanks to Ari & Del for yet another top notch event!

Peace,
Rich

^^^^^^^I also love that track "dirty sticky floors"...I believe Walter Rosati dropped that. God, what a great tune. I remember hearing for the first time when Hernan Cattaneo dropped it at System. I remember asking nightcreature what the track name was and I thought he said "thirty six and four"...Glad I was a able to find out the proper name as I need that track BADLY.

Did Walter also drop Marco V - Simulator (Push remix)?? I could have sworn it. I love the electro sounding synths in that mix.

WTF !!" - Desidel on tribe

Hopefully that will answer your question about them wanting to come back!

Love Poundin' Sensation

k my turn now..
sorry that it took me so long to write this but i just got to my computer and have the time.. sortaish..

so yes.. 3 hours driving down to finch to pick up the cowboy (SOO GLAD i got to meet u for once) got to the dinner late and i didnt really mind didnt feel like eating anyway.. had fun seeing ppl enjoy them selves with everyone chatting and all too bad not EVERYone showed up to that.. but still its good that a majority of ppl did show up..

HELLLOOOOOOO stylez it was great meeting u and Waxen i was sooo incredibly happy to see u guys for the first time..

so hears my deal with how i amm around clubs I never smile when i dance i might look like i'm not having fun but i actualy amm i just dont smile not when i'm dancing, i hardly doo dont know why thoe. the other thing was that i did have a migraine through out the entire night and it wasnt really helping me with all the loudnesss..

too tell ya the truth it was bit tooo much for me to loud, too smokey, too many beats, too long.. but i know it will take some time before i get used to it lol .. i am encredibly glad that dumonde was the first party i went to, its something i will never forget . i did enjoy my self and i did have fun! i was xtreamly happy seeing everyone else have a blast . in total i think that was the most i've heard trance with out any stops. 11- 5:30 oh man my head is spinning.
the biggest joy of the night was just meeting over 40 tota's luvz and hugz to all i hope to party with u guys even more now..

oh yes.. my mom called only asking me where i was cuz ppl were looking for me.. the downfall out of the night was that i got sick i have a feaver and a cold now mostly cuz of that night. oh well i'll get better.

anywhooo till the next party that i'll try to attend (hoping for pvd) now i need sleep and rest

But Chris, ever consider changing that thing? Isn't this like the thrid time someone has said that? Hehehehe.

^^^^^haha ummmmmmmmmmmmmm naw it's PvD losing himself into a tune. Was taken by someone (I think Trancearmada?) and I saved the pics on my comp. There are lots more...also I love that pic, I doubt I'll change it until a better one comes along.

The 'glowing' logo on his shirt looks cool, but his poor face has been distorted through re-sizing, lol.

yes i must admit, thats a badass pic of paul....

Yeah well :P (to the resizing comment). As for the "glowing" logo, it's either the MOS Logo or the Gatecrasher Lion, I forget. I think it's the GC Lion...

Yah the dub mix is much better IMO, larger buildup, better beat, less vocals, massive climax. I didn't like the original much but I do love the dub mix

11 pages of reviews.
2 days to read it all and now i finally have the time to post my review (i know it's a LITTLE late), but oh well..

I met E2EK1EL, dEsidEL (thank you both for the stuff! ), & drgoodvibe outside and proceeded to head inside around 10:45. Walk-in...and all I see are TA's near the front...WOW!!! What a feeling that was...everywhere I looked I saw someone I knew...at that point I knew this was going to be one special night.

ESO and Mobius came on and I thought they both rocked! Really awesome set, especially Mobius since I had not heard you spin before...you were wikked!

Walter Rosati was pretty good too...and DuMonde... I really didn't know what to expect from them, but they really blew me away. Amazing set!!!

And as usual, the TA vibe took the night to another level. All of you are awesome! It was great partying with you all and I look forward to seeing you at the next event.

Shoutouts - you all know who you are.

Special thank you to TR for bringing DuMonde, let's see what you've got in store for us next.

J.
