Not sure if you are referring to moi but since I am the only one to mention college and clubbing in Montreal then it must be, so yes I am in New York now, looking to intern at the Metropolitan Museum or MOMA. I'm all about cultures and language hence the museum career. Drop me a line anytime via PM or the board Maria. Ciao. By the way are you Italian, just asking, I find Italian girls to be sswwweeeet. Peace.

I know girls that do like that stuff ... for example, my sister is into heavy rock and punk and stuff (she's such a goth ewwwwww), and the only kind of electronic music she likes is rave, hardcore and some acid. And I know maybe another few persons like that ....

Giorgio Moroder : Midnight Express - Chase -- 1978

quote:
The soundtrack to the film Midnight Express translates a sweaty journey of one man's entrapment in Turkey's prisons into sonic genius with one particular song. With a driving electro beat and a complex, synthesized melody, 'Chase' sparkles with a uniquely beautiful sound that has inspired new genres.

What about a well-established line - "1999 - The Year Of Trance"? What about the harmonious house music culture of early-mid-late 90s? I'd say "Everything Is Techno" line was AND STILL IS for people who dont like dance&electronica genre and call it techno because they dont know anything about it.

Posted by Maria TR909 on Sep-23-2003 18:16:

when it comes downm to it it really is all techno.

music made threw technology

neen around for about 3 years now...since i heard a burned copy of Magik 6. Tiesto got me with that ****** and he hasn't let go, though the grip is loosening a little to speak metaphorically.

In 3 years, i've listened to trance but unlike a lot of ppl, my attention span has not shifted to house or progressive or techno. I hate short attention spans.

First of all, many of us, like me, didnt start with trance. And I will simply not listen to the same music genre all the time, cause that makes me really sick ... and takes away energy. So I shift among most dance&electronica genres for continuous excitement and enjoyment. After all, doesnt it bring back memories and puts a smile on your face when I listen to an old tune full of memories?

Posted by linear_algebra on Sep-24-2003 02:26:

Since 2000!!!!!! GU 013 got me into the trance.(Well, actually it's because of the Mercury & Solace in the Disc B )

Posted by BobbyV on Sep-25-2003 04:58:

I've been into it since 1996 when I was in 6th grade. I bought the Mortal Kombat Motion Picture Soundtrack and it opened my eyes to electronic music. Then came Daft Punk and The Crystal Method. But I REALLY got into it when I was a sophomore in high school which would have been in 2000. I bought Trance Nation America (Taylor and Jimmy Van M) and ever since then its been my favorite type of music

I was a big fan of the Prodigy when I was a kid but I didn't get into the scene until last year.

since 1995

Posted by Mr Game+Watch on Sep-25-2003 14:19:

Since the 80's probably if you're gonna count synthpop and all that... the first tape I ever bought was by Information Society, total 80's synthpop/freestyle type stuff. The first modern electronic artist would probably have to be when I got an album from The Orb based on a friend's recommendation in 1994-1995 or so... 97-98 was when I really got into it cuz I was hanging out a lot with my friend The_Rock and he was really into house... 1999 is when I first got into Trance with PVD-For An Angel, Veracocha-Carte Blanche, Gouryella-Gouryella, Oakey's Tranceport album...

Posted by Hollow on Sep-25-2003 14:41:

listening to electronic music since 2000 but going deeper into it at the end of 2001, but this board got me really in
