It's seriously not - I can understand why it appeared that way, given the timing of our posts.

I'm just trying to make people laugh. Photoshop is fun.

hey... i totally agree that track selection is definitely important... but dude... if you can't mix and program those tracks... i don't care how many wicked tracks you have on your tracklisting... your set won't be one that people will want to talk about... well anything positive anyways...
anyone can fade a track in and out... you can create interesting effects when you mix tracks into each other for long periods of time.

i love prog... in fact i spun prog at the last TA invasion you spun with my partner matty (Vagrant)... i just think we should appreciate the fact that we're able to spin an underground sound at a more commercial type club... expose them to something different... that they might like... and the scene might grow for all genres of music

My point was that among TA dj's they shoudl of book a progressive dj also (it was just a suggestion), now it can be mute, vagrant, steve or any other TA dj I did not mention anything about myself or armada playing anywhere.

So again if you are affended I am personally sorry to affend you.

and I think we should all get along....

cheers

i was shocked when i heard that all these TA dj's were playing at that particular venue... although i'm happy to see that we're getting more attention... its wicked... good luck to all you guys... sorry i can't make it... although i know all of the dj's that are spinning will represent us well... no matter what they play... i'll definitely be at the next TA invasion... look forward to meeting all of you... putting a face to the name

No worries. They did book a prog dj, Ivals and also Walter Rosati who both spin prog at Lotus. If you meant a prog ta dj then well I guess they left one out because they can't include everyone in the lineup at that party...so they chose to not include one.

Oh but, yes we have so many newbies on this forum that don't even know about it... well you can't hide that and you have to share that info... otherwise it's way too lob sided...but I guess it's more convenient to pick me out cause it's easier, cause there isn't as many people speaking out in my support... or people are just too affraid to really speak their mind...

no, it's just easier to pick you out because you're a whiny little bitch, and everyone on here knows it... and that's ok, it's who you are, and you can't change that, you yourself mentioned 'natural selection' a few pages ago...

It was necessary... It's important for newcomers that get tangled up in flamewars with trancearmada, to realize that its not anything personal directed at them, it's just his character, he likes to flame... there's nothing wrong with that, it's VERY entertaining, and is prolly the only thing that keeps me glued to this board...

Perhaps it wasn't necessary, but it sure put this thread into perspective.

Last night after I shut down my computer, I remembered it was trancearmada who was the DJ who opened at TA Invasion 3 and then took right off as the night was getting started.

I thought that was kind of odd at the time. Now I just think it's hypocritical.

Posted by Fir3start3r on Oct-03-2003 14:33:

Ok...

Anyone else tired of this pissing contest?

*raises hand*

It's not about 'outdoing' each other. It's about building on the successes of one another...

1 + 1 = 11 ; learn it...

I'd lose track of who I was flaming too...

Din't you say not to take shit on this msg board seriously last time? oh and if you wanna bring your crew cause you are too of a pussy to talk this out with me next time we see each other... that please let me know I'll bring mine...

Dude, you only showed up for the third one so you could spin! If you think that leaving the club at 11pm is support...more power to ya.

I know it is difficult to warm up a crowd - I find it more of a challenge to get into my set at that time, because the dancefloor is empty and people are socializing.

However, playing a fast, bangin techno set at 2 am is also challenging. I tend to mix every 3 or 4 minutes, not 6, and there are many more distractions when people are crowded on the dancefloor. It can be more difficult to focus.

I've played both slots, and each has their challenges and their advantages. I'm sure that is what you meant by your post, right?

S.

PS - do you need some help finding that ignore button?

so what you showed up for 4. i showed up for all 4 and stayed later than you. does that mean i shouo get to play? (i've touched a mixer one time in my life) or should i get a prize for it?

and some ppl have different styles. some ppl bang it out like (shryer) and some ppl do a an amazing warm up (liek sohaness). that's why steve was slotte din the opening slot and shryer at 2am.

Has anyone else noticed that it "all comes down to" something completely different with each new post?

Oh well, regardless, you've done a great job of making connections, Art. Kudos, I see a bright future for you and your DJ'ing career...

Maybe you should try your luck at speedcore...

I know you were there; I met both of you. My point is that when armada after his set, he was on his on his way out the door.

Anyways, this thread has gotten way out of hand..I agree with you on that point. I'm embarassed to be still replying - why does it seem like a good idea to try and reason with idiocy when it is obviously so pointless?

My apologies for coming down on those TAs who perpetuated the PP situation by responding to her... I now understand your frustration.

my point is, that how many TA invasions you attend don't have anythging to do w/ how legitate it is for you to be spinning at them. for example, i shiuldn't be allowed to spin b/c i don't have talent. you can't just let ppl spin b/c they attend.

OK, Art, you need to calm down. There is no reason for you to be putting people down left right and center because they don't agree with your methods here. There is no way Tara deserved to be told to "stop smoking crack", come on, are you really that immature? You fucking wanted prog to be the forefront of this thread then you got it but in the wrong light. Do you thing that you actually got anyone person on your side with this arguement. You are fighting a battle which you yourself don't know the goal of.

From the beginning you wanted prog to be at TA events. There is prog at TA events. There is nothing to discuss. And for a quick question, you don't even spin prog right? You spin tech-trance and house, right?
