ok, how's this idea, everyone who entered a midi, take their own and make a track using it, then, the better one wins, and then either that can be the anthem, or that could be the melody that 'wins' and we all use that and enter our mix in the comp.

stupid idea since not all producers have entered a midi...

i think we should make a poll instead.
if not of all midi's... the 3 or 4 midi's swamper was choosing from.

agreed. if this is really going to be a TA anthem, the poll should be open to all ta's. it certainly wont get that kinda exposure in this thread. especially since its not even Sticky!!

maybe we should re post the "call for midi's" as a sticky. then poll the music forum or at least link them to our poll. then just pick a track.

swamper's vote can count twice if he gets around to voting

I think this is the best thing to do. It'll prevent arguments about which melody is best...

Maybe we could vote for ourselves. Get all the midi's back and host them so we can have a thread with a vote in it. That makes much more sense to me if Swamper doesn't have any interest in it anymore.

there were only 15 midi's, and some people just uploaded something they didn't put any effort in..

i could ask swamper again, but he didn't reply to the last couple of times i sent him a pm, so i doubt i will get one now.. besides, what's the point if swamper is not interested? after all it's his website..

and i haven't seen rb2k1 here for a while. he was the one taking care of webspace and all, so that might be a problem as well.

i like the idea of hearing all different TA producers' versions of an original melody. its different than if we just all remixed one track because that track would already have its own style, etc, i think it'd be more fun to all work on an original melody that has never been fleshed out.

that being said, we dont have to make it a TA ANTHEM. maybe we could just make it a TA TRACK. it could just be a fun thing for us to hear how different people work out a melody. if we work under the guise of TA ANTHEM, then we have to worry about getting all the best producers involved, who dont all seem interested, and the approval of swamper and the whole communtiy. if we just have fun, anything goes and we could just appreciate each other's talents.

i suggest we start a whole new thread and pool a bunch of melodies people have, post em all for polling, pick one and just work on. trying to make it official slowed down a really great idea and made it not fun and too much of a competition and too focused on pleasing people rather just creativity.
