yeah soulopla & 00soupskitchen00 kinda hit on the idea but not necessarily a retail outlet, just any physical presence (even a booth) where local customers can come pick up their orders. for me knowing that i dont have to pay that extra amount of shipping would be an incentive to order maybe a nother piece of vinyl goodness... but thats just me.

just letting you VW's know that the copy of "Johan Gielen - Velvet Moods" was shot when i tried playing it.

ive sent it back like someone told me to (forgot who i spoke to at the kew office). he advised me that i would be receiving a credit of the actual amount that certain vinyl cost. i have received no word so far.

not meaning to dampen down the appreciation for VW, in fact i think you guys do a terrific service. just curious about the whole damaged goods procedure in cases like these.

cheers

PS. bend over paulie

just make sure you email to right party.. i had a damaged vinyl, and they actually replaced it with another vinyl.. so just be persistant, yet patient, and they will do the right thing.. i Promise You..

they're a damn good company

yeah somebody took a note down, just hoping it wasn't piffed in the bin after i hung up the phone.

not meaning to sound rude, but i work in the finance industry and i frequently bin most the messages i take down. maybe its karma.

was just a curiosity thing no animosity what so ever

forums i think would be a good idea.
that way, you'd be able to tailor stock and complaints to loyal customers. it'd only be such ppl who'd frequent the forums. i assume that'd be easier to tackle than 70+ individual emails sent to you guys.

physical means of picking up vinyl? customer wise great, busines wise, maybe distracting. i'd imagine it irritating if you were to be running errands for ur business, and every half an hour, somebody drops by to pick up vinyl, then u'd look for their order, find their stock, hand it to them etc. too disruptive?

text only subscriptions pls.
like juno, but including the sample links

Also if people have Hotmail, that one message takes up about 25% of your available space, so if it pushes your account over the limit you might miss out on other emails...

In this day and age, I am dumfounded that hotmail can get away with giving you only 2MB, that is ridiculous. I can't wait until Gmail (Google Mail) gets launched, you get 1000MB storage free! Any bet that when they do launch hotmail will announce new storage limits.

Anyway, hope is not the answer so we will work towards providing a text version of the newsletter.

cheers reemo, but....
I specifically asked a few members of VW if I could be credited with the amount of that vinyl.
I was assured I wouldn't be sent a replacement.

clearly stated in my thread above as well.

sorry for the hassle mate, think there was a misscommunication somehwere

Rez,

Our standard policy is that we can only give credit to account where the record is not available in stock. Also, the record you sent back doesn't appear to be faulty at all. We played it here on our turntables and it played fine, there was no warpage and no skipping. Can I ask what you found faulty about this record?

Don't worry we will fix this up for you but I just want to know why you sent the record back in the first place?

Regards,
Jeremy

play the logo side, it started skipping when i tried it both decks. and it wasnt just a 1 - 2 second skip, more like distortion throughout the rest of the track.

i know it might seem like i've changed my mind about buying that track, but beleive me thats far from the truth.
i would be happy with a swap, but i was also offered the option of credit which i thought would be more beneficial.

if its a big deal with the credit issue then by all means dont worry about it. a VW assured me i'd get credit and he jotted down the note (so i was led to beleive :P)

seriously no biggie, if you can issue credit i'll send the record back. if you can't then i'll settle for a velvety mood

Frank Who? - Wonderful
Koris vs. DJule - Belvedere
Armin Van Buuren - Blue Fear
Armin Van Buuren - A State Of Trance (Part 3)
Markus Schulz Presents Elevation - Somewhere (Clear Blue)
Fictivision vs. Phynn - Escape
Mark Norman - Phantom Manor + Rush
Lightscape - Inner-Warmth
George Hales - Autumn Falls (Remixes)
Dreas Pres. Havannah - Havannah
