Now if we can pull this one off......wow. That will make a HUGE statement to the rest of the league. Very short handed tonight, but as usual the Leafs have been able to rise to the occasion and fill in the gaps when needed. This will be the biggest test to date in that regard. Still i think we can pull it off, but we'll need O.T to do it.

Well, all we know is that Toronto doesn't have any players that can step up in times of injuries.

At first I felt bad about Ottawa's giant win, but it just goes to show you that Toronto has only a few key players and the rest are lost at if the others doesn't show up.

And what about the points streak they just finished? They had Mcabe, kaberle, Reichel, Renberg, Neiwendyk, Roberts, Belfour out @ various times throughout it, not to mention the absence of Mogilny the whole time.

Why to Leafs fans always forget the positive, and after one loss, no matter how bad, start crying "the sky is falling".

#1 We played our backup who has only played 5 games before this one, going 3-0-1 with a shutout and a 1.9gaa before this game.

#2 It was the teams 3rd game in 4 nights

#3 We iced about 2 NHL quality lines out, with one line being maybe a second line on most NHL teams, the other a 3rd or fourth. Minor leaguers do not a good game make in the NHL.
