Arriving at 11, wonder how much parking will be

Posted by Indigo on Mar-01-2004 17:37:

How much is parking usually ?

Posted by Jeskot7 on Mar-01-2004 17:45:

Last time I was in downtown which was only in the beginning of February parkins was as much as 15!!!!! Your best bet is to get their early and park in front on the street. The hobo's don't do anything, cheaper than paying the 15

Fawk!

All I pay here in my country is 1$ heh...

That's expensive!

Tell me about it, I'm thinking about just taking the bus or something. That way I'll save some money and not put my license at risk, if you know what I mean

Take the metrorail to government center and then the omni loop to the 3rd street stop. Space is less than a block away from that point (north, I think).

I'm not going to chance it. I'm going to try to be there by 9:30-10

when does paul play?

Posted by DaveT on Mar-02-2004 07:23:

I used to yelp and cry when I was 18-20 about there never being 18+ events...and then once I got to be 22 or so, I completely understood why the 21+ crowds aren't completely fond of 18+ events....because the behavior, vibe, and atmosphere of a 18+ event completely SUCKS compared to a 21+ crowd....

They don't know club ethics, think they are the shit, act stupid, etc....

So yeah, if I was @ WMC, I think I would actually be looking for somewhere else to go other than PvD knowing the place is gonna be overcrowded and full of 18 and 19 year olds that do nothing more than annoy me and my friends because they are pretty unruley hopping around like rabbits.

I think a lot of it has to do with that a lot more 18 and 19 year olds tend to roll and then they act even stupider because they don't know how to control themselves.

But I won't be at WMC...cause I'm gonna be at a family reunion Why oh why...I will be flying to Florida...but not South Florida

word brother

I was going to go but when i found out it's 18+ i changed my mind. I will be at Tiesto Sunday though.

I guess you learn moderation when you get older.

I disagree. It is extremely annoying to see immature people doing stupid stuff and messing with people having a good time. That would piss me off...I don't know your past experiences but non the less, you cannot generalize about an entire age group. Thats what it seems like to me.

You can say that you might think that the rabbits you have met are just that, rabbits hopping around but I have to say, I have a lot of friends that I consider very mature that are 18, 19, 20. One particular person comes to mind. This person is extreverted and opened minded...I won't bore you with the details...

bottom-line though, just enjoy the party, where ever you will be
3 days!!!!!

I can and will generalize an entire age group. Does generalizing an entire age group mean 100% of that age group is like that? Not at all....but if I went to some event where I had no real idea if it was an 18+ event and a 21+ event, I could tell you what kind of event it was in about 30 seconds. I wouldn't be able to tell by looking at all the people and seeing how old they look, it's just obvious by the vibe they bring....which tends to suck.

As I said, when I was 18-20 years old, I used to yelp and whine just like a lot of people here do about 21+ events....but soon after I turned 21, man was I glad I didn't have to deal with the 18-20 crowd. The vibe, intensity, and atmosphere is just so much different and so much more spirited.

I still do occasionally go to the 18+ event if it's not going to be stuffed and there's DJs worth seeing...heck, I've even been to a couple all-age raves in the past year....one was horrible (OK, pure comedy laughing at all the kids), and the other one (on NYE) was a blast because I just stayed up front and listend to some Judge Jules and Fergie all night...was great.

Posted by jz983 on Mar-02-2004 21:00:

ok, that's fine. you've had different experiences. we all do. my thing is that when people generalize about something, they tend to look at things with tunnel vision...which in itself brings a bad vibe.

and you say, you were laughing at the raver's at that one rave you went to. that's contradictory to what your saying. those kids are doing what they want to do, granted, which is not what your into which is fine. but you more or less standing there "laughing" at them??? if i was someone else looking in, i'd say that qualifies as "bad vibe"

to each his own

i'll be 21 in dec. hahahha! to damn long. I find myself yelping about 21+ stuff too. hehe

edit: this just occurred but WHY IS IT SUCH A BIG DEAL THAT THIS IS 18+??!!! who cares, I'm going to see PVD and the artists.

get over it!

Posted by DaveT on Mar-03-2004 00:50:

Well, I am talking about hundreds (out of the thousands) of 15 year olds and piled with stupid candy all over them (a little is fine, but up to your elbows is retarted) rolling out of their minds and laying in one of several huge piles containing dozens of people getting their light shows...I laugh at that stuff, because they look completely stupid and all I wanted to do is go over and start whaling on them.

Not to mention no more than two minutes came by at at ime before some person tried to come up and hug me, ask me if I was rolling, ask me if I wanted to experience a whole new world, talking about how being on E is like being in a whole new universe...shit like that...it kills the vibe and makes me laugh in their face.

Well, I don't care if people are rolling...but there is a huge difference in how people 15-19 or so act while rolling and in how people in their 20s (or whatever) act while rolling.

It's like night and day.
