yeah its all preference. I have alot of #1 djs in various genres..some I value more for producing or putting on a good show, their character or whatever the case may be. Though I hold these guys to higher expectations and would undoubtedly go out of my way to see em, I couldnt hold anyone of them better than the other as long as they keep up the good work. Everyone knows Im partial to pvd, but that is only because the 6 times I have gone and seen him, he's never let me down. I have a feeling some of the other talent that spundae brought like armin and james zabiela would be the same way...but I have to see em more than once but I know I would pay to see em again.

Last year when glow was hosted @ insomnia it was 18+. I saw Johan Gielen. Same day when Dj Tiesticle was in Houston

o well

Now Im really fucking pissed. Armin van buuren will be @ club glow and I cant go because of the age limit FUCK THE WORLD

well, at least you got lucky to see him at Gatsby which was also 21+ to my knowledge. Being a part of spundae sure has its benefits...(will never forget getting to meet pvd for a minute) lol

that sucks man..hopefully he'll come back to texas soon (Dallas and Austin need to bring him...get with it already!! )

Last Song of the night

Is Zabs on edit of Mylo-In my arms. He took out the vocals and seemed to make it twice as long as normal. It's amazing what me did with the original. Awesome track to end the night...would have liked to have heard Wavy Gravy though =)

You can do amazing things with a sampler/looper.

No shit on Enjoy the Wavy Gravy, I definitely wanted to hear it live . He still did an amazing set

After listening to another track by Mylo called Drop the pressure, it seems that James edited this as well and just used the bass beat from the song to start off, then he mixed In my Arms, then brought back in the beat from Drop the Pressure and then replayed In my Arms...made the song last about 8 minutes.....then again I could be wrong about all this =)

Comp has been fucked and this is a little late but I had a fucking blast with you guys. James was amazing but I really have to say that I had a great time hanging out with the TA crew. Its obvious to anyone who was there that Zabiela was incredible but it was the TAs there that made a really great night into one I won't ever forget. It was fucking awesome to meet you guys and I'm looking forward to seeing each and every one of you again. Get in touch with me on here if you're going to be around Dallas and for those of you in Dallas....same to you. Hope to see and meet more of you soon.

Did anyone record the live set he played on 106.7??? I'm going to have to call the radio station and basically beg if no one did.

Question:

what genre does zabiela play? havent heard anything and im curious as to what he sounds like

Posted by D Dubya on Oct-22-2004 18:40:

Tech-house kind of stuff.... a little bit of everything really. If you check out my post in the beginning of this thread, I have a link to a 3 hour set he did which is a great listen.

Finally got around to listening to the Canberra live set. I'm wishing I'd heard it before & gone to the show!

James Z mixes in some nubreaks too--current track at 1:19 in is

Blim & Rennie Pilgrim feat Mc Chickaboo - 2 Freaks
