Just read on ESPN.com that Schilling isn't gonna start game 5. They said possibly later (but they'll be done by then). The ever dominating ace known as Derek Lowe is set to go.

Then, I just read that El Duque is set to go for game 4. Nice!

Brown vs. Arroyo
Duque vs. Wakefield
Mussina vs. Lowe

Why do we have to listen to Ben Affleck everytime they want to talk about the Red Sox? I got a question for him... "how about them apples?"

What's worse, Ben Affleck spewing out bumbling random stupidity or Peter Gammons dry humping the Red Sox in every article or television piece?

Ben's career has gotten as worse as the Red Sox chances in this series.

This "who's your daddy?" thing is so gay. If fans came up with it by themselves it would be funny, but because Pedro said it himself, it's pretty dumb.

Dude, it's hilarious bro. So what if the fans didn't come up with it. It still goes right to his head.

Anyway, this series is far from over. Even if the Yanks win game 3(which I think they will) Boston is still capable of bouncing back and sweeping us to take the series in 7. They ARE that dangerous!!!

I really want to see Clemens pitch game one in Yankee stadium just to see the crowds reaction. Hopefully we'll have that match up!!!!!

Even though Pedro said it, nothing beats being at the Stadium, chanting out "Who's your Daddy??" after Schilling gave up the three run double to Matsui.

If any pitcher lets that go to his head, he does not deserve to be a major league pitcher. You're crazy if you think he's affected by it. I think it's hilarious that Pedro said it. even if it did get to his head, he pitched a good game

to some extent i believe it gets to him, it definitely didn't rattle him since he pitched a really good game. It possibly even fueled him as his 4 seam had some pop and his 2seam was getting some nice movement.

maybe by leaving himself open by calling the yankees his daddy, he is trying to maybe reconcile for what he did to Zimmer last year in the playoffs. that way he can sign with us as a free agent.

could be a thought but IMHO kind of farfetched...as zimmer is no longer on torre's right. I see Beltran coming to CF, although the thought of Pedro in the rotation might be just what the yankee's need to be a fully dominant team, I doubt it'll happen. Honestly, it would do wonders for his reputation in ny and in boston.

I still like the idea of Bernie playing another 2 years and acquisition of Beltran being taught by the CF Legend. What do you think? Bernie taking the bench with Luis Lee and Donny. Now will Willie take the coaching position, will Girardi do the same, I don't know.

I really think Willie will take the Mets job. Girardi i think will stay in the booth at YES. He is doin a great job there. Now all we have to do is get rid of Michael Kay. He was great on the radio, but now his head has gotten too big for his shoulders.

i dont think there is any logic behind his statements. In an almost mocking tone of voice

If Pedro has any kind of sack, he would be inspired to shove it down everyone's throat with 9 innings of shut out ball. Unfortunately, sometimes no matter how hard you want something, guys can get hits off you. It probably did provide a little bit more juice on his fastball. That whole comment was so surprising because I always thought of him as not backing down to anybody.

I don't think the chanting gets in his head, I think just the fact that the Yankees beat him again and again enough for him to have doubts in his head. Once a professional athlete gets doubt in their head, they start to lose their effectiveness. Being a dominant pitcher is heavily reliant upon confidence, even arrogance. It's like "here's my fastball, try to catch up with, you don't have a chance."

See Chuck Knoblauch or Rick Ankiel for extreme examples of mental paranoia.

To me, a lot of Pedro's comments lately show traces of doubt. Even his comments about that he is happy to know that this attention beats not having 50 cents to take the bus sitting under a mango tree 15 years ago. Shouldn't he say something more like what Schilling said about shutting everybody up?

willie randolph will not be managing the Mets next year.

Game 3 being rained out tremendously benefits the Red Sox.

Arroyo v. Brown
Wakefield v. Mussina
Pedro v. Hernandez

ESPN has a quote from Torre that Hernandez will still pitch game 4 and Mussina game 5. They still haven't decided on whether Pedro gets game 5 or 6. I would imagine it would depend upon the outcome of the next games.

Well, the Yankees should feel comfortable facing Pedro. Brown is better than Arroyo if healthy. Hernandez is my favorite pitcher and if he's fine too, then I like our chances.

They aren't coming back!

If Mussina still goes game 5, then I don't like his chances. He hates pitching on more or less than 4 days rest. Also, Brown is better than Arroyo on paper. You never know from game to game what you're gonna get with him. And despite what everyone thinks, Arroyo is a good pitcher. He completely came out of nowhere. Surprised the Pirates just let him go. They probably feel like idiots now.

cause aroyo is a young pitcher and theres alot of presure on him by the fans and by his teammates to win this game
i have a feeling he will choke
as for brown i wont lie iam not too crazy about him
but if the yanks are gettin runs off of aroyo then brown just has to have some location with his ball and with alot of the red sox hitters in a lil bit of a slump this seris he has to keep the presure on them as well

Well, I've been wrong on Cabrera so far, might as well go out on a limb and say this.

Arroyo will pitch a gem tonight.
