Just got back from Christmas Holidays and I'll have 008 up and ready for Monday, January 2, 2004.
Pumaz: That track was just something fitting the holiday spirit. It was very weird and I just had to put it on there.
TOR: Glad you liked the tracks. My mixing, however, is getting a little hairy on these last couple of mixes, but I'll get back on track for 008. I just have been rushed lately and haven't given much to time for recordings.
Thanks everyone for the support and I will upload 008 next Monday. It will be back to VCS mellow style and dedicated to the love of my life, Haley.

There's nothing more frustrating then shipments of vinyl not showing up. I placed two orders, from Juno and Chemical, over 3 weeks ago and still have not received them yet. I would usually just redo the tracklist and make a set, but I'm over doing that. I'll wait it out a couple of days and if not then I'll do what I gotta do.
Do you see now why I do not have a radio show? 
I think this goes down as Excuse #57!!!

Wow, at the risk of sounding dweebish, 008 r0x0r'd my b0x0r's.....seriously. That was one tight mix. Great track selection too. Noel is officially in my top 5 tracks now. Amazing what happens when you have the *ahem* proper inspiration, 'eh?

About the updates on new sets, I really haven't made time at all. I'm a lazy ass lately because my ever so consumed life with school and work. I'll bring the mixes when I get a chance and hopefully can soon. I really want to make this a radio show by the summer and by then productions should be on there way with some artist material. It all starts with this show and the great feedback I'm getting. There's a lot I want to accomplish by the end of this upcoming summer, and hopefully I can throw out some of my inspired sound through my own original productions. Only time will tell...
Til then, hang on to the first 8 sessions, and try not to get bored with em' too quick!

Been away for a while since I posted, but I have been so consumed lately with Session 007 and 008...
All I can say is: Wow!
I love the Noel track and it's nice to see you have it on both mixes. VSag & Andrew K's remix on Evanescence is superb.
Hopefully it's not too late to comment on the KiloWatts track on 007; never heard anything like that! That's pretty wicked, brilliant. That's a must have.
Really, an awesome job on the mixes, and of course, will continute to listen.
I actually like your mixes enough that I'm willing to register for that site just to download them

You guys are great. This is why I do this. I think I have tomorrow off so I'll be working on 009 and 010 when I can. They both will be the best of the VCS sessions, especially 10. There's so much good music out there it's overwhelming. I look forward to giving you more of the best music there is and bringing it to you the only way I can.

Okay, for 009 just think of where I came from on this mix. It starts off slow and onto some fast breakbeat. Then it breaks down right as it was reaching it's peak, it trails off, slower, slower, and onto a thunderstorm. As the rain rolls on, imagine staring out your window watching the rain and singing a tune to get you through the presently hard times. Overall, the beginning is a storyline of life being good and fast paced, and all of a sudden it crumbles down, into the rain, and you watch it out your window. All of a sudden you think to yourself, "Why am I so unhappy, there's life outside these walls." From that thought the mix slowly builds into a slow female vocal breakbeat track, just slowly moving on and on. On and on to more faster and upbeat tracks. Tracks that get you back into the game and make you realize, Hey, there really is a happiness out there, I just gotta find it. Well it's been found again and life commences as if nothing happened. But this afterall is the story of my life, losing happiness and once again finding it again...
Well, that's my theme for this one. I hope everyone enjoys. Its by far the best mix to date and has the most creativity. Thanks everyone for the support and I really want to hear some new adjectives for this mix.

All mixes are put back on. When I get to Session 11, I will take out the 1st, when I get to the 12th, I will take out the 2nd, so on and so forth. If you haven't gotten 1 yet I'd grab it quick as it might not be up there next week.
i have to say steven, your mixes are tight! i have only listened to a couple but they are very nice. you should try to get into the circuit in your area or get a broadcast going, its very easy to do on shoutcast with SAM2 or other stream programs. from one fellow "bedroom" dj to another, drive on! do you do any CDR mixing or is it all vinyl?
