Celebrations, ah yes!
First big big event if everything goes as planned
How much people are we expecting there?
6 or 7000 people
maybe more
not sure yet
6-7 Thousand?
I heard there were alot more peopel then that???
BTW.....anyone know if there is any kind of dress code? ...Can you wear hats and whatnot?
no dresscode
i actually did a mistake ... its not 7000 at all.. i think itll be way more...
but itll be good for sure
i was thinking more like 10-15k
10,000 people!
WOW!
$$$$
Thats good for the event and the industry... think, even if they ONLY draw 7000 people. Even less, say that only 6000 come, at 60$ a head (which i think is the cheapest ticket - correct me if i'm wrong) thats $360,000. Thats if the minimum amount of people come, each paying the least amount to come. Should be good
Who is organizing celebration this year, is there a particular organizer or a group?
I hope they have a wall of 18" subs
i'm gonna just sit there and shake like a british nanny.
kthxbye

OK sooooooooo
my friend and I are most likely takign a train up to Montreal on the 29th or, if we have to cut it close due to shelter availablity, the 31st.
We will probably be staying in a hostel or very cheap hotel. I am staying until the morning of Jan. 3rd, then taking a train back. He is going onto Quebec on the 3rd and whatever.
Looking at availability, it seems that everywhere is booked for the night of the 31st. Even though we probably wont be doing much sleeping that night, it would be nice to have a place to go back to just in case.
Can anyone help out?
And does anyone have tips for staying in hostels/living cheap/ getting around in montreal?
