Oh, boy...all that analysing why people don't listen to trance. I think therefore people are people, they change during the years, and sometimes musictaste goes with that.

Some people do that and go listen that other music in silence, some people go on and feel so damn proud about this revelation in their life that their head went up their asses and it won't get out. And some people are content about their music as it is, and some are so content that they have to say it everytime again.

This 'why people do not listen to trance anymore' cannot ever be answered.

The same people who hate Trance also hate Star Trek and Trekkies... they are repelled by Escapist Culture, whether it is musical or on t.v..... and so the Escapists remain cordoned off, thus perpetuating the culture...

Who cares?/ (a typically Escapist answer)

n.b i need some help getting back !! this is my first post since many years ne help is acknowleged ..am staring to dig back my trance mix tapes (it's good to get the good from all)

FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING FUCK!!!!!!!!!

Trance is NOT DEAD. GO TO HELL YOU PRICK.... I'm KILLING YOUR KIDS, KILLING YOUR DOG, KILLING YOUR CAT, KILLING YOUR FISH, KILLING YOUR WIFE, AND CHOPPING OFF YOUR FUCKING ARMS AND LEG

nothing pisses me off more than "trance is dead"...

ahhh.... now that I've calmed down....

Your not a prick. BUt yeah, your history to trance sounds VERY similiar to mine. Almost the exact same. I started with ATB, then DArude, then Tiesto, then Digweed, but then, I LIKED PVD.

I know this is going to sound absurd, My suggestion to you is download the Paul Van Dyk Live @ ENergy 03, and Paul Van Dyk LIve @ Amnesia.

I find PVD's sets and his music takes AGEEESSSS to get used to. Once you start to like him, u should be cured. ALso get: ANother way, Beautiful place, and Animacion by Paul Van Dyk...

I've gone through the same periods of the "damn, trance is geting so shit" phases. BUt i always stuck in there. Eventually, it comes back. It's like a up-and-down roller coaster. It's a sign u need to spread ur tastes more, and experiment a bit, and try different stuff ur fav artists already make. Or go back to the era u liked, and get more stuff from then that's good, but u don't have yet.

What made u come back on TA anyway?

Nope, however, the ppl that are into DJmag, or go to artist's sites with LINKS to DJmag, voted for Tiesto more than any other..

Kinda of a bad way to figure out who the most popular DJ is if u ask me...
