Lab 4's thoughts on the matter...

I guess you were going for a really classy and professional look by going out and getting 2 tattoos on your back

Whats the point of getting a tattoo which other people see more often then yourself? You really want people to look at your back that badly?

ok, your 'arguments' are just stupid at this point. Thought i'd give u the benefit of the doubt for a while, but you're just being a dick for no reason.

No one here needs to justify their thoughts, reasonings or existence to you.

Lab 4 and Yoji and everyone else can go out and tattoo their whole bodies and get belly button rings and a million earrings and tongue rings ect.but it will still not make them better looking or hotter in any way!

YOU'VE SAID THAT A MILLION TIMES ALREADY!!!

F*CK, YOU ARE A BROKEN RECORD!!

Posted by maxpain on Jan-23-2005 01:39:

I just hope you people out there with a bunch of tattoos and tongue, lip, belly button rings and a billion earrings don't have kids because there is gonna be a lot of akward moments when the kids start asking questions as to why you have them? What is a chick gonna tell her kid that she got her tongue pierced to give better head or oh they got tattoos as opposed to self mutilation (cuttings)or so the guy doing them doggy style would have something to look at and oh how they got their belly buttons pierced to look hotter at the time?

Most people who get tattoos grow to regret it and the same will happen with the people who are getting piercings all over their body in the future.

Considering self body mutilations (cuttings) and then piercing holes in my body and getting ink injected into my skin as an alternative just doesn't seem like a logical way of dealing with ones problems and inflicting pain upon ones self will not solve anything either.

All problems have solutions and those solutions don't incude inflicting pain upon ones self with self mutilation (cuttings), piercings and tattoos because that shit doesn't solve anything!!

No, u just THINK u know that. Sure, maybe those people who go and get their boyfriend or girlfriend's name tattoo'd.... But for you to make such a general comment like that is just plain ididotic. I also highly doubt that people are gonna live the life according to maxpain, so get over yourself.

There are PLENTY of people who take the whole tattoo subculture very seriously. Piercings are removable, you know. Tattoos are too (laser removal). I am not going to regret my tattoos because I carefully chose them, and have artwork from some artists that people would give their left nut to get a piece by them.

You know, life is full of choices, and regrets. Luckily we live in a free country where we can make those decisions for OURSELVES, and we don't have to answer to a Dick-tator who feels the whole world should live according to their doctrine and ideology. You think people don't make other decisions in their lives that they won't regret later? (Having a baby too soon, being promiscuous, committing crimes, being a dick to your fellow man, etc...) Just cuz there isn't a 'visible mark' for society to see this so-called 'future regret' of yours, doesn't mean your life is peachy keen. Getting a tattoo or pierced doesn't harm anyone else- it's a personal decision. This is the important point you're missing, dear Max. We don't know you, and we certainly don't need to live by your ideals, cuz all u are is some schmo on a messageboard with an arrogance problem.

I'd like you to walk into any tattoo shop (or better yet, a tattoo convention) and voice your opinions on how 'stupid' tattoo'ing is to their staff of employees. Let me know when you do, cuz I'd love to see u get an ass-whooping.

So, if u don't have anything else to say on the matter aside from 'it won't make u hotter, you'll regret it, its stupid' (which you've already posted about 2 dozen times, cuz holy crap your arguments are so redundant), please STFU on the matter already.

What are you talking about Nat? Isn't it *everyone's* dream to grow up to be a low-level club employee with an IQ of 65 obsessing over baldness and professional wrestling?

I love my tattoos. All have meaning to me and I desgined them myself (except for the Japanese character, which means 'life'). Oh yeah, I also have my belly button pierced, and my tongue, and my nose and ears. EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!! Bahaha, LOL!!

Sorry 'bout the butt shot guys...it's the best pic I have of my scorpion.

Posted by dance2dabeat on Jan-23-2005 20:31:

I used to have my tongue pierced...but I decided to remove it b/c I was always chewing on it which wasn't good for my teeth.

I loved it though and I miss it......

Are you sorry that it's a butt shot... or that it's cut off?

Well this thread did not begin as a tattoo and tongue ring thread and started off as a belly button ring thing but then everyone wanted to come on and talk about how they had their backs and asses or whatever tattooed and talk about how they had their tongues pierced ect. so don't act shocked when I give an opinion on tattoos and tongue rings ect. when it was everyone else who brought up the topic and merged it with the belly button ring topic.

Some tattoos look alright but I really don't know what the point of getting your back, neck ect. tattooed is especially when you wouldn't even get to see much of your own tattoo Why get a tattoo which others will look at more often then yourself if you are doing the tattoo thing for yourself and not to show off to others?

anyone have the TA logo as a tatoo yet?

Posted by maxpain on Jan-23-2005 23:05:

Isn't it *everyone's* dream to grow up to be a low-level club promoter at BOA with a boyfriend in Floorwhore, an IQ of 5 who looks like Krusty The Clown, can't bench more than 20 pounds at the gym, has a big frow with a forehead which is beginning to bald, Pinochio nose and toothpick frame like Diginutsucker?

Because the placement of the tattoo may have just as much meaning as the tat itself. Also, certain spots are good for if you don't want to ALWAYS be showing the tattoo.

That Kanji (at least when read by a Japanese person) doesn't really mean life. It's pronounced "sei", and it's the same sei as in Sensei. In most applications, it means student. (sen means previous, hence a sensei is a previous student, or a teacher).

To mean life, you need the character "jin" before it, to make jinsei.

It could very well mean life in Chinese... certainly not in Japanese though (actually, I don't know of a Japanese word that is THAT CHARACTER by itself... usually words are a combination of a couple characters).

It's also the u in umareru, which means to be born. First thing I thought tho when I saw that thing tattooed on your neck was "Student??? what's she doing with that tattooed on her?"

You can probably check it out on kanjisite.com; it's a JLPT Level 4 I believe.

Yeah my buddy who studied in China told me the same thing actually . He also told me another meaning for it is "ruler". I think it was ruler...something about measurements or something.

None of the Asian people I know have ever had a problem figuring out it means life, though. I even had a girl approach me and comment that she liked my 'life' tattoo.
