My ex had a walk-in closet for shoes Everything you could think of, seriously; Manolo's, Jimmy Choo's, etc....

It wasn't uncommon for her to go spend like 3G on shoes for 'the hell of it'. Yeah...she had too much money. It was wicked.

On a side note; she was the most humble and down to earth girl I've ever met...money did NOTHING for her. More people with money should be like her and her family.

I must be the only person here who HATES FASHION. GRRRR!!! It's such an evil industry. I buy the cheapest clothes possible. U'll find me in T-shirts and any pants that aren't jeans.

I do collect funny T-shirts though. I have 2 already related to DJing... my favourite one has a stickman mixing at turntables and some guy messing with his tables and getting his head punched off. I've got some very unusual ones... one from the Canadian Clay and Glass gallery even. My father once got me one of those stupid FCUK shirts (cuz he thought it would fit with my collection) and I nearly threw it back at him.

I gave it to her. Yep, she tried it on, and it belonged on her. It looked too small on me. That was another Kensington gem.

I love Diesel shoes, too. I need another pair. Shoes are about all I'll drop big cash on, since comfort is sooooo important.

And Gap jeans. 'Cause nothing else fits me lengthwise. And I hate hemming.

sadly, that rarely happens here. in the uk, however, i am like salivating over every male specimen that walks past cos so many dress well. le sigh. i was born in the wrong country.

Hmmmm I think we need to be introducend...specifically due to your UK comment...I would like to add that the only magazine worth reading (men's magazine) and I swear by it is the British GQ!

And your previous post really shows you know your stuff...hhmm interesting!

And as for the DJ Hordash comment by Dez - I've mentioned him before - that man knows style!

The citizens are actually designed and made by the same people that make sevens. If you had good luck with the citizens you should have luck with the sevens (although in terms of waist size, they fit a wee bit smaller, so you'll probably have to go a size up)

Posted by StereoPrincess on Jan-28-2005 15:45:

Sarah, how do you tell if the jeans are real Sevens or knock offs?

Is it true that if they have the number 7 on the pocket they are knock-offs?

you seem to be following it quite close.

my favorite part is the people that think they dress european.

as a funny aside, my mom and i were watching TV last night and she told me about the whole speedoes vs swimming shorts thing. she said that men in europe laugh at guys in american that wear the swimming shorts. and i said that guys in america laugh at the dudes wearing speedoes and she found that to be the weirdest thing. she said that when we first came to canada she saw the guys in these ans she laughed.

It's absolutely true...same with south america...go to Brazil and don't wear a speedo - if you're a man and you'll be laughed at...actually it's pretty much anywhere except north america which just shows how fucked up it is

Same goes to Underwear...most men in Europe and in fact everywhere else don't wear boxers...most wear the speedo type underwear or trunk - boxer-briefs which is what I personally prefer (CK of course).

Posted by e*motion on Jan-28-2005 18:07:

yea speedos are definitely the thing to wear in europe.. every time I go my cousins ask me "why would you wear shorts to swim?" .. Europeans have great fashion sense, but I dont think they wear speedos for fashionable reasons.. they just find it more practical seeing that shorts slow you down while you swim.

For those who know me, you can PM me for $30 gorgeous Diesel Rumbum jeans, $20 Von Dutch shirts, $30 Emporio Armani dress shirts... All 100% sex-symbolic Mediterranean attire, all 100% original!

Ive been looking for a Roberto Cavalli shirt for months with a huge JUST CAVALLI ONTO THE DANCEFLOOR If anybody sees this anywhere PLEASE, please PM me!

D-Squared are amazing! They are actually from North York - my hood lol...funny enough they are massively huge designers now - 2 gay twin brothers I think - they put a huge twist on typical canadian stuff and it's SICK SICK SICK...very very $$ tho so yeah.

thats news for me ... i always thought they were european judging by the clothes they come up with ... north american designers usually tend to make very plain clothes

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-28-2005 19:12:

+1 .. the american gq sucks big time ..i used to be a big fan of fhm at one time but lately it seems to be focusing to much on violence and is becoming pretty vulgar as well.... another fantastic magazine is arena ...

Posted by starsearcher on Jan-28-2005 19:44:

For sure!

The US mags are not as good all together. FHM and Maxim are too much of a porn mag lol I love the girls but overall they are boring and all photo-chopped

British GQ for a change is a men's magazine with incredible articles, hillarious writers and amazing lifestyle/fashion/luxury sections.

Here's some DSquared for ya - Fall/Winter 2005 collection!

Some more fur for StereoPrincess - wikkid hat

haha, i am an honourary brit. i lived there for 8 months (and am so going to marry my way into the uk dammit!!!) and i went to school for fashion. so you could say it's been a life long obsession of mine.

british mags are 10x better. even british vogue is decent, whereas the american one is crap. i am addicted to british elle. there is just so much more creativity and quality compared to their american counterparts.

and no, i haven't met dj hordash haha.
